hidden costs
what i was told when i purchased the insurance was different to what i got. i was smacked with a huge hidden cost. the whole 90% coverage is not really 90%. it's 90% of the subtotal. Also, if your animals condition requires followups those followups are not covered either. i was told the initial exam was covered but all subsequent exams would be. apparently they changed their mind. i had to complain and they did sort it out as a one time courtesy, but they still didn't admit any wrong doing or misrepresentation.

Easy Peace of Mind
This is the best peace of mind for your pet. I bring a form with me whenever I go to the vet, then scan it and email it to Embrace and they take care of the rest. The Wellness plan is basically "free" money! Customer service is friendly and their responses and processing is pretty quick. All in all a great company. I have been using them for over a year and my sister has been using Embrace for her 2 dogs for several years now.

First Claim
Just a few words about our first claim for our Akita female Drea. She developed a large sore that was growing worse by the day and was not responding to the care we could give her. She became very subdued and feverish and we took her to for emergency treatment. This treatment, plus the follow-ups cost approximately $1000. We submitted our first claim with some anxiety. We needn't have worried. Within one day we were contacted that our claim was being processed; within one week we were contacted with the full accounting of our claim reimbursement, as well as a notification that our payment was being mailed. In short, this claim was handled professionally, quickly and, even more surprising, with concern and very cordial communications. There is nothing more that we could have asked; very highly recommended.

excellent
We have a 2 year old lab ( big baby)who experienced lameness in both hind legs but the right was worse than the left. He recieved treatment for this for approximately Jan to May. He had to wear two stfle braces on his hind legs which were covered by trupanion to our amazement and they paid directly. These were approximately $2000. We paid our deductible and they paid 90% prior tax. He had these on until May when it was determined he would need to have a TPLO. We have had prior insurance with another pet and we were quite concerned that we would have a huge run around and then not have the payout. Again to our amazement and this was not the case. Trupanion paid the vet directly 90% and we paid 10% as we had already reached our deductable. Toby is now approx. 14 weeks post surgery and doing very well on his leg. Truapnion has been a blessing for us to be able to have our guy have the treatment he neeeded without worrying about if we could get this done now. The cost of the surgery was $4200.00. Our guy is home and happy and so are we knowing that Trupainon was there for us when we needed it. Thanks again guys for the job well done. I do recommend Trupanion to fellow pet owners as the one.Danielle

A breath of fresh air in the insurance world!
Embrace's claim explanations are timely, you keep the customer posted on the status and coverage is straightforward. I took out the insurance policy for my pets so that I would never hesitate to take them to the vet or authorize treatment. Embrace has lived up to its word and I tell all my friends about this company.

We're happy.
Our Lab was experiencing lameness in his front leg. The Vet took some time to send verification to Embrace, but we still received notification of the refund in three weeks. We are quite pleased with the folks at Embrace.

Quick & Efficient
The turnaround time on reimbursements is incredibly fast(a day or two)! If there is a problem or you have a question about your policy, they call you back on the phone and talk it through. All staff who I have talked to have been really nice and helpful.

The Best As Usual
Augie, our yellow lab who just turned 3 years old, had eaten something and spent the day at the vet's office. Spent the next five days at home on a bread and water diet. The claim was submitted the next day (7/23/12) and we received payment directly into our account on 8/16/12. As I've mentioned in other reviews, we own a dog grooming shop and hand out pamphlets to our customers for Embrace insurance. We refer people at our dog park and at the dog beach. We couldn't be happier. Thank you Embrace!

Glad we have it...
our lab had a trifecta of unrelated health issues in one week, GI issues, allergic reaction to an insect bite, and an eye infection. Claim was paid but wish I had coverage of prescription diets!
