I've had Embrace for a year. In that short time, Gus has needed two surgeries. The process was easy and I received the amounts expected. I have recommended Embrace to friends and will continue to do so.

I switched my pets insurance from 24 Hour Pet Care to Trupanion and what a difference. The coverage as well as the turn around time on a claim is incredible. They paid the 90% of an emergency surgery to remove a Foxtail from my dogs foot as well as a cyst on his knee with no nonsense no excuses no hastles.

My pet had several masses removed. I faxed in my claim and the reimbursement was transferred to my checking account in two days. Very very happy with this insurance.

I cannot recommend Healthy Paws highly enough. This company is honest, reliable and claims are paid with amazing speed. For example, my Yorkie had to have a test for Addison's Disease yesterday morning that cost $206.00. When we got home from the vet's office, I faxed over the claim form and invoice and I received an e-mail from Healthy Paws at 4:15 yesterday afternoon saying her claim has been processed and a check for $185.40 is on its way. Amazingly, this is typical for Healthy Paws, not the exception! My yorkie has been regurgitating since May 5th and I have taken her to her local vet and U.C. Davis (veterinary teaching hospital)several times. I knew that the literature said that Healthy Paws continues to cover a condition, even after the current policy has to be renewed. I have never heard of any other pet health insurance company with that policy, so needless to say, I was a little worried when Sophie's policy renewed early this month (July). Sure enough, Healthy Paws has continued to pay for her medications, tests, etc. even after the policy renewed. I honestly do not believe that you will ever find a better, more reliable/honest pet insurer than Healthy Paws! I recommend them to everyone I can get to listen!

Once again, my claim was handled professionally and in a timely fashion. They cover what is promised and communicate every step along the way. Wish more companies handled customers like that.

We recently joined the Embrace family and purchased insurance for our dog and our cat. We did a ton of research online for all of the pet insurance companies and Embrace seemed to have the best reviews. And now we see why. When our indoor Persian cat Luci, snuck out of the house and got hit by a car we were devastated. After many appointments and a surgery we are happy to report that she is recovering nicely from an amputated tail and broken pelvis. We filed our claims with Embrace and they immediately confirmed receipt and even emailed us personally a few days later to let us know that there would be a slight delay in reviewing our claims. They happened to be updating their claims system at the time. We all know technology updates are necessary but we also know that companies don't always share this type of information and may just leave you impacted. Great job Embrace! You handled that perfectly. Right then I knew they cared. And just so you know the delay wasn't very long. Our claims process took less than 3 weeks. They kept in touch throughout the process and whenever we called to ask questions the customer service was stellar. They are always pleasant and really do treat you like part of their family. They showed sincere concern for our Luci and made every interaction personal. Their claims settlement process is very straight forward and efficient, their statements are easy to understand. AKC Pet Healthcare Plan has been a blessing to me as my 8 year old yorkie had to go through some extensive medical testing at the NCSU vet school and although, I had some out of pocket expense, it was so good to know that the $1500 limit was paid in a very timely manner after all my claim forms were turned in....He has had some pancreatits over the years and the insurance has been well worth the cost for us...I would highly recommend it to folks as they become new pet owners!

We have a total of 8 dogs in our home, allof whom are family pets and are very much part of the family. I am a runner and took four of the larger dogs (2 Rotties and teo American labs) with me to run every morning. Just as with human runners, one of the dogs needed the equivalent of an ACL repair because of a serious tear that had hobbled her. I had maintained the insurance for over a year on the recommendation of a patient who'd had a similar experience, so we were covered for $1500 of the $2500 or so total expense involved in surgery and related expenses. It made a real difference in our decision-making about this beautiful dog, who is 6 and still has a lot of good years left. My only criticism is that the event limit on policies neds to be higher. Right now, there is no effective downward pressure on vet charges for office visits, surgery, etc., and although I don't begrudge my vet any of what I have paid, there needs to be some check on rates besides "whatever the traffic will bear." Until the insurance industry for pets becomes influential enough and covers anough pets to begin to dictate what will be paid for surgery, etc., as has happened with people ("managed care"), insurance needs to allow for generous benefits for major surgery like this. That said, I am glad to pay my premiums and I won't do without pet insurance.
