good but a bit slow
I have had an overall good experience with Embrace. They have been great about communicating with me about multiple claims for my 3 dogs, and everyone I have spoken with has been extremely nice and helpful. The only issue I have had is a longer than expected wait time for reimbursement, which I believe was due to the adoption of a new claim system. I would definitely recommend Embrace.

Great response time on claims and follow-up.
My wellness claims have been taken care of promptly, so I am confident that my dog will have her check-ups,yearly vacines and all of her heart-worm and flea meds taken care of. My little Coton de Tulear, Chloe, is a part of our family, so I want her to stay healthy. Embrace gives me the opportunity to have a health care spending account for my dog. I love that feature of the insurance. It even covers her toe-nail clipping! Fortunately I have not had to use the insurance but a few times for illnesses. Her claims were promplty taken care of.

Cancelled Insurance Out of Blue Then Refused Claim
After a year on the ASPCA insurance, I received a letter out of the blue (no prior claims) saying the insurance was terminated as of a certain date (about 60 days). Thinking I'd better find out if my dog was ok, I took him in for a physical even though it had been less than 6 months after his last checkup. As it turned out, he had an impacted tooth which had to come out. While in surgery, they discovered another impacted tooth and they removed that one also. ASPCA refused to pay one cent of the bill saying it was a pre-existing condition. There was no sign the teeth were impacted as of his previous exam. All in all, a bad insurance experience. I'd look for another company.

Healthy Paws: Outstanding Experience!!
It had only been 2 months since we signed up with Healthy Paws and unfortunately our pet needed to be hospitalized due a severe stomach problem. The total cost was $3,300. Our claim was processed expeditiously and we received the proper reimbursement. We also received a follow-up Email inquiring as to our pets recovery. Needless to say, I would highly recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who would listen!!

BEST INVESTMENT - EMBRACE REALLY CARES!
This is our first dog covered by Embrace (for 4 years now). We've had several accident/illness claims and are SO IMPRESSED by the communication during the claim process and the fair evaluation of covered charges. Word must be getting out about Embrace because claims are taking a bit longer than several years ago, BUT, they keep you informed as to the status of your claim and take good care to get your claim processed ASAP. Thank you, Embrace. You ROCK!

Godsend
My 5 year old Shorkie rescue Spooky sustained an injury to his jaw while we were out of town which resulted in multiple fractures. The estimated cost of surgery was more than we could afford to pay. If he would have not had the surgery he would likely have had to eventually be put down due to infection. Thank God for Healthy Paws Pet Insurance! We were able to proceed with the surgery and charge it on a credit card knowing that we would receive a prompt reimbursement from Healthy Paws! Thanks to them, I still have my best friend who brings me unending joy everyday! Thank you Healthy Paws!

Healthy Paws: Excellent Service and Caring Staff
I had never had pet health insurance with my previous dog, but after I adopted my 8 wk old yorkie puppy, I decided I would look into it. After reading all of the reviews on Healthy Paws, it sounded like the best. I had no idea that at 16 wks of age, my puppy would be diagnosed with a congenital heart defect which would require surgery in order for her to have a happy and healthy life. For me there was no question that she would have surgery and the best care in order to fix her heart. Healthy Paws was the absolute best through the entire process. Not only did they process my claims very quickly, from the diagnostic echocardiogram, to the surgery itself, they always asked how Zoe was doing in her recovery. They genuinely care about her and that means a lot to me. They are the best and I know I made the right decision in choosing Healthy Paws, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for health insurance for their pet(s).

Breathing Problem
My dog was starting to breathe a bit raspy .... AndWe found likely needed a surgery to allow her to breathe
better. Trupanion had no issues paying for this or any of
the other numberous things that happen to her all the time
... Like gastric upset, there was that constipation, etc. If u are
the type of person who would do whatever your pet needed
medically ... then get trupanion pet insurance ... Never had a
Problem with them and had them for 2.5 years now
