Awful customer service received on 18 August 2020

I submitted a claim for one of the two pets covered thru this insurance. The second claim came back right away and the one I submitted first was not therefore I called to follow-up. The individual that took my call explained that it was taking longer because it was an illness claim and not a wellness claim. I advised this individual that it was a wellness visit. Then, the customer service rep advised to wait a few more weeks. A few days after, I received an email stating that the visit was not covered. I called once again and spoke with Cheryl. She explained that this was received as an illness therefore I had to appeal. I submitted the appeal however, I had another email stating that there was a change on this pet's policy. I called the insurance and was on hold for approximately 27 minutes. Then, I spoke with Reggie. I explained why I was calling and he told me not to worry about it and file the appeal. I then told him that I filed the appeal and the reason I was calling was to ask a couple of questions on an email that I received. It was obvious that he did not want to listen to what I had to say. He did not seem interested in helping me out. I asked about the email received on Monday, 17 August at 6:58 am and he said not to worry because there was nothing in the system about this email that I was referring to regarding my one pet's policy. I was explaining that I had other questions regarding the policy and as I was trying to explain what I was referring to, Reggie hung up. I am very disappointed the way this was handled. Bottom line, I tried to write this review as best as possible without going on and on. I am pleased to say that after Reggie hung up on me, I called and spoke with Maya. This lady was very professional and asked for my policy number which the previous customer service did not. Maya took the time to listen to why I was calling. At the end of the day, I do not plan on keeping my pet with this insurance. I believe that customer service is very important. I understand that we are going through some difficult times however, does that give the customer service representative a right to hung up on the customer? No Worries!

It's such a relief knowing when I see the first sign of a pancreatic flare in Diva I can take her to the vet for treatment and not have to worry about busting my monthly budget

No sentence needed. Just one word, superb.

I was a late arrival to the pet insurance idea. I was watching one of those Pol vet shows while a pet parent broke down because they couldn't afford their pet's treatment. I think I cried twice as hard as they did as I was thinking of how I'd feel if that was me. After that I started my research for insurance for my fur baby. They all seemed pretty standard but rigid in their offerings. I was looking for something more flexible to fit in my budget, looking for more bang for my buck but still had good reviews. I found Embrace. I could tailor my plan to what I thought fit my 9yr old dog might need. I felt better after signing up even though my dog is in good health. I didn't have to use it for 8 months but now my baby has a diagnosed cataract. I contacted Embrace for Pre-Certification and on the same day they authorized the $4,130 testing, medication and surgery. I can't tell you the relief I felt that I will be able to help my baby because Embrace Pet insurance is there to help.

Superior Pet Insurance Company and People!

I am so happy with Healthy Paws! I looked around for the best pet insurance company when we got a new puppy 6 years ago. I had another insurance company for my older dog, but wanted to see what other companies were available for our new guy. Healthy Paws was ranked number one for ease, reimbursements, etc. I took the advice and opened a policy with them. I have been supremely impressed for those 6 years. The claims process is the extremely quick and easy (less than 1 minute to click a few boxes and snap a picture of the invoice). The reimbursement, which is always phenomenal, is usually directly deposited into my bank account within 24 hours. The customer service is personable (they emailed to check my dog after he got sick) and very responsive. I have no complaints at all!!! Love them, love the name!
