Glad I had some kind of pet insurance. The only thing that I did not care for is that the deductible is applied to different conditions and not a one-time deductible.

I have 2 black labs. At 5 months old one of my 2 labs had eaten something toxic and I spent 3000.00 fixing him. The day he was released I ordered pet insurance for both of my dogs. They've been in emergency situations about 6 times since then and Healthy Paws has always been helpful, quick with cutting and sending checks, and they follow up to make sure my pet is doing well afterwards. They are fantastic!

I have a 9 month old pit bull, who is in pretty good health. the plan covers most of her vet stuff, but i wish the normal price of the procedures and medications were higher. when i receive my reimbursements, i dont get back as much as i had hoped because apparently my vet charges higher than normal prices.

A few months after purchasing insurance on our 7year old mutt, he was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia. I'm so happy that Embrace covers his medications (90%) and they are very speedy in reimbursing us. Embrace representatives are also very efficient in contacting us when needed.

After an overnight stay for our 2-yr old puppy in the ER, I contacted Healthy Paws about a vet bill for $1800. I sent the claim form in via fax and within hours I had already heard back from them saying how they were going to cover about $1600 of it (everything but the emergency fee). It's been a few days and I haven't received the check yet, but I've received other checks from them within a few days. Perhaps the best part was a follow-up email from them a few days later asking how my puppy was doing. A very unexpected personal touch, and very appreciated. Outstanding attention and care, great to work with. Highly recommend!

If you start when your pet is young,it almost pays for its self

as an animal advocate and animal owner/lover for all of my life, my circle of friends & I are CONSTANTLY reviewing and researching insurance on our animals. As VPI is a newer company, I was the first of my friends to go with them after hearing negative experiences from all of them about other insurance carriers. My dog is currently 6 and is WELL PAMPERED. We've had Embrace for 2 years and they've lived up to EVERY OUNCE of my expectation and EXCEEDED every customer service experience I've had (*unfortunately* several claims already). I wish you would insure horses!!

Excellent insurance, I shopped around and am completely happy. Your 90% payment comes right away and they keep informed along they way, if you forgot something they are in touch and help out to make sure you receive payment. The one time deductable per illness makes Trupanion the best!!
