Did Not Cover Dental Procedure Related to Oral Car
I am a new client of Pets Best and would like to share my experience filing a recent claim.
On December 10, 2012, I brought my Siamese cat, Violet, to my vet for her annual wellness check, where he noted an enlarged node in her jaw and two abnormal teeth. Upon extraction, he aspirated the lymph node and we were stunned to receive a diagnosis of metastatic carcinoma.
Within three weeks, she had to be euthanized, because a mass had invaded her upper jaw. When I submitted the relatively modest bills to Pets Best, they excluded the dental extractions, which were the bulk of the bill. They did cover the euthanasia and cancer medications. I received less than $250.00 back on a total bill of nearly $600.00. Part of that ($23.) was the result of a Level I appeal that I filed.
I will say that the representatives have been very nice, and the reimbursements were processed and received in a timely fashion. However, although everyone agrees that the abnormal teeth were a result of a tumor in the jaw, Pets Best has held fast to the position that NO dentistries are covered unless they involve broken or abcessed teeth needing extraction.
Ironically, had I opted to subject Violet to aggressive chemotherapy, involving thousands of dollars, it would have been covered. Yet, this brief catastrophic illness received only minimal reimbursement because of a policy that does not allow for any extenuating circumstances. Not only did I lose my cat, but I have spent time and energy di

Well worth it!
I recently had to deal with an illness on my 5 1/2 year old mutt. After a major surgery for what was thought to be a stomach issue, further testing revealed a brain tumor. Unfortunately, she had to be put down. The entire ordeal cost me upwards of $4200. In less than 2 weeks since filing my claims, Healthy Paws has reimbursed me $3600. They were quick, hassle free, and covered everything they said they would, up to and including euthanasia. I contacted them by phone at one point and their customer service couldn't have been better. I will be continuing to use their services.

Great Pet Insurance (Finally!)
My female 6-year-old Golden Retriever had the SCARIEST illness ever for me. She was vomiting blood, and passing blood non-stop (yep, non-stop) from her rear as she walked. Thought she would die. Required 3-and-a-half days at the emergency doggie hospital, and the bill was $1,800.00. Healthy Paws paid a fair amount (minus my deductible, the vet exam, and only a small amount of incidentals). The employees at Healthy Paws were kind, compassionate, and helpful. Best of all, was the quick pay-out. Since it was SUCH a large bill. But it was 100% necessary, since our dog would have died for sure without emergency medical care and 24/7 monitoring. Took about a week-and-a-half at home of medication and rest to have her start looking bright-eyed again and with a wagging tail. THANK YOU HEALTHY PAWS!

Love the Wellness plan feature!
My dog Tina had her first vet visit and received her rabies and kennel cough vaccines. She also had bloodwork done that was necessary prior to her spay surgery. It's nice to have this added plan feature to help cover these costs in smaller increments. The reimbursement was settled super fast.

Claim Reimbursement
My little terrier was taken to the hospital when we felt a lump on his front leg the size of a golf ball thankfully it was fatty tissue and not cancer. Embrace immediately followed up with the clinic and reimbursement us shortly after the claim had been received by them. The service provided by Embrace in handling my claim is the most professional and expedient service I have ever received.

Very impressed! Quick claim payment
This is the first time that I have had a pet in 10 years and the first time that I have purchased pet insurance, but wanted to be covered as our puppy has already had a hospital stay. I was sceptical about the value of pet insurance after hearing others say their claims weren't paid and it was a hassle. I could not be more delighted with my experience with Pet's Best. The customer service is excellent - I even had the same person answer the phone 2 days in a row and she remembered me and my previous questions. I filed my first claim last week, received helpful updates via email, and had the full 90% paid and direct deposited into my account within a week. I would highly recommend.

Have Pet Insurance or Not To have Pet Insurance
I just brought home a rescue dog a week and a half ago. I asked many pet owner friends of what they thought about pet insurance all in all I recieved alot of negative reactions from them but always in the last part of the conversation they would proceed to tell me how much money they plunked down for their pets illness's. Bottom line is I did alot of research on different policies. I chose Embrace, which so far I am quite pleased. They correspond quickly and expeditiously. I am waiting for my first reimbursement which they just told me is on its way for the wellness coverage. So far very pleased and so glad I purchased a policy from them.
