1/13 - 2 dogs, 2 claims
It continues to amaze me that the turnaround time for a claim with Embrace only takes 10 days or so. Your company is most efficient and communicates when they receive a claim - when they process a claim - and confirms that I have received the reimbursements. This is a good Company and I have referred you to all my friends with pets.

Claim Reimbursement
This is my first claim although I have had the insurance for about 4 1/2 yrs. The service was very fast, reimbursement in a week. The paperwork was handled very professional, but some how I missed the fact that I had to pay the $500.00 deductible plus 35% co-pay, but all in all I am satisfied.

Not recommended
I sent two claims on different dogs several months ago. They still have not paid on the claims after receiving the health background for each dog. I have contacted them several times and they keep saying they need the medical records. The vet's office said they have faxed over all the information several times.

Great service, no funny business
My husband and I took out Healthy Paws insurance several months ago for our dog Leon. Since then we have had to file two claims(once for an ear infection and the other time for a bladder infection) and each time we have been completely satisfied with the service we received. Both claims were processed promptly and we received coverage for the full amount anticipated. I would highly recommend this health insurance to other pet owners.

Trupanion - thumbs up
Fortunately my vet office was offering a free 30 day promotional trial for trupanion pet insurance and the front desk person lectured me about signing up because it wouldn't work if I didn't go on line and register. Usually I would ignore and not follow through, but I took her advise. I honestly never believed in pet insurance - always thought it was a scam. My 3 1/2 month old Great Dane puppy got really sick quickly. She wasn't eating, extremely weak with 105 temp. She got referred to the Emergency/specialist vet and was kept overnight for observation testing, IV etc. The bill was about $2,200 and I got back $1,600 from trupanion in about 2 weeks!!! I am still going to submit the prescription medication receipts which I think will also be covered. Communication and follow through were great. I have read reviews that their costs increases after the first year even though they claim they don't do that, so time will tell. The only thing that I was disappointed in was that they didn't cover the specialists office visit. So I had already paid my regular vet visit and then got referred to the specialist, they charged me another office visit 10 minutes later. So even though it was a referral they didn't cover that office visit. All XRAYS, overnight care, IV etc were all covered. I am "sold" and have signed on for a year!

They kept their promise and more
My 1 yo puppy chewed and swallowed wool when I was sick in bed. Few days later he started to unsuccessful poop it out as well as throwing up the rest of the day. He didn't get better over night and needed to be seen. After one x-ray and examination later we had to decide between surgery, ultrasound-waiting-surgery, waiting-x-ray-surgery. I cannot tell you the relief and confidence it gave me to know that when they told me the price for any of these options that I would be able to do whatever it took to safe my puppy. He ended up with a 4 hour surgery, 4 cuts in his intestines to get all the string out and 2 nights in the hospital. Checking in with me and keeping reminding me what they needed for the claim was one thing, but when they even took it on themselves to call the hospital and our vet to get the information they needed I was really impressed.
