I am really happy and surprised at the experience I have had with Trupanion. I thought that I would not get anything from the claim since I was past the time limit due to medical problems, but I filed the claim anyway. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they opened the claim and very quickly sent me a return. They even sent an email asking if my dog was doing well. Does your insurance company do that? I bet not! I couldn't be happier with Trupanion!

If it wasn't for Healthy Paws, I don't know what I would do. We adopted a shelter dog a year ago. I've used Healthy Paws insurance multiple times throughout the year including just this past month with vet bills adding up to nearly $1000.00! Within one week of the vet visit, the Healthy Paws checks were in my mailbox. They have been extremely helpful when I've called with questions, and they follow up with emails quickly. Just a great all around service!I wish that I had insurance like this for my last dog, and I'm so thankful that I have it now. Definitely not a mistake or waste of money. Don't hesitate - pick a monthly plan that works for you and apply immediately! I have the 90% reimbursement/$100 deductible plan - at $31.95/month. It's a bargain considering what I would have had to pay out of pocket. Highly recommended!

Honestly, I have nothing to compare this insurance to. I have only had ASPCA insurance, and selected it because of its affiliation to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, assuming the insurance benefitted the cause and it facilitates taking care of a pet with its health needs. It is what it is and with over 45 exclusions, I can only guess what portion of my claim will be paid. My purebreds have been more expensive than my mixed-breeds and the insurance has probably paid for itself over the years. The policy also excludes euthanasia fees which I feel is inconsitent with the prevention of cruelty.

I am extremely pleased with everything about your company. Questions are quickly answered. Claims are quickly processed. Payments are delivered promptly. If you sold health insurance for people I'd buy it!

The experience I've had with Embrace has been nothing short of excellent. My wire haired dachshund Mabel developed a heart condition this past summer. I have submitted numerous claims on her behalf and Embrace has reimbursed everything (less our $500 deductible and 10% co-pay) to the penny including the bills from specialists. They pay the amount the vets actually charge and not an amount that some other insurers do, what they consider to be "reasonable." The only mistake I made was not getting coverage for meds as this is now running over $100 a month. I have amended my policy to include drug coverage for my other dog for only an additional $5 a month. I can't recommend Embrace highly enough.

I immediately got Trupanion Insurance for her, knowing from my old dog how expensive treatment (especially water therapy!) can be. After a year, my new dog was diagnosed with Colitis and Heartworms (she had been on preventative). Trupanion has quickly reimbursed me 90% for covered expenses, a huge help! They continue to reimburse me for the prescription medication that will likely be needed for the rest of my dog's life. Trupanion even reimbursed the cost of Veterinary prescription diet. (Which unfortunately did not work.) The only reason I didn't give a rating of 10 is because Vet visits are not a covered expense, and my dog had MANY of those prior to the correct diagnosis and treatment. My dog is now healthy, and I have peace of mind that I can keep her that way with Trupanion's support.
