I have always insured my dog, just in case. Coming from the UK pet insurance is soooo much cheaper, so my husband begrudges paying for it in Canada. However, this proved invaluable as our puppy just contracted Parvo. Even though she had been given all her shots she caught it. It was great piece of mind knowing that she was covered, so the vets could give her whatever she needed to get better. Trupanion have a very easy claim form to fill out. I come from an insurance background so I know to read the T&C's to see exactly what is covered. The communication via email was excellent as it was timely and they didn't leave you wondering about what stage the claim is at. The only thing was that I received 2 claim emails and this was a little confusing as I thought all her treatment was the same claim. I emailed back to question this and they said I had two claims in. I called to query this and after 10 minutes on hold, was told it was an input error. However, when the claim came through they are treating it as 2 claims (Only one lot of excess though). Overall, it is great peace of mind to know that my fur babies are covered no matter what, to any amount, any number of times.

My 9 year old Rotti-mix has recurrent lymphoma (was in remission and came back). Without insurance I woud be in a very difficult position; deciding whether we could afford his chemotherapy treatments. Embrace has been great; paying promptly for his 16 treatments the first time and paying again now that the cancer has returned. Over all they've been a pleasure to deal with.

I am so glad we chose Healthy Paws! Lauren and Kelly were both so sweet and helpful! I was so scared and worried about the cost, but they managed to put me at ease and took care of everything for me. This was my first time dealing with pet insurance because with our previous dogs we never had insurance and Healthy Paws is truly the best! They even kept checking on Cooper's recovery after he came home from the hospital showing they truly care! I have recommended them to all my friends who have pets. We researched various pet insurances, and Embrace was by far the most complete package. Once we took our pet to the vet, they tried to offer a similar package to embraces wellness plan, except that embrace was much better priced and comprehensive, even the staff stated that they were impressed with the quality of this plan. I received two confirmation emails after the vet issued our first claim, and a follow up email confirming that the claim had been processed and approved and payment was on its, way.. That simple, no hassle, no story, simply following what was promised to us

Since we adopted our 2 dogs a year and a half ago, we have spent a lot of time at the vet. Our one boy has had digestive issues and then two surgeries. Healthy Paws has been fantastic through it all! We are so grateful that we chose Heathly Paws pet insurance, because they were there when we needed them. We will be adding our 2 cats to our insurance plan. We do recommend them to all our friends.
