Our 3 year old Siberian Husky Zephyr woke my husband in the middle of the night and I heard a yell, "Come quick! Something's wrong!" There was a small pool of blood outside Zephyr's kennel as he had managed to neatly expel everything OUTSIDE his large kennel. However, it was dark red and smelled horrible. After cleaning up and trying to deodorize, I opened the patio door to let Zephyr back in the house only to see a few more puddles outside. While I thought I would wait until morning - avoiding after hours charges & trying to get a few more hours of sleep - things did not appear to be settling down. So I decided to take Zephyr to the local VCA Animal hospital - the best in the state & nationally acclaimed - knowing they would get to the bottom of this probably more efficiently than our local vet. It wasn't until I was paused at a stop light at 3:30am that I remembered we had Embrace pet insurance. Whew!! Now I was really happy I made the choice to go. Upon getting to the hospital, we were seen immediately. Poor Zephyr was almost non-responsive and look very sad. The vet thought we should run a basic panel to start eliminating what might be the cause. Meanwhile, Zpehyr had lost so much fluid and blood, the decided it best to hook him up to IVs and get him hydrated. After tests came back negative, they suggested running an ultrasound to check for the possibility of an internal blockage. Now it was 7am. Embrace has been amazingly supportive through a rough couple of years. Our wonderful pup suffered a hip injury and acute kidney failure and their staff was reassuring and acted quickly to process and reimburse our claims. Without this support there is no way we could have afforded to give our pup the best emergency and follow up care available. Indispensable! Not unimportantly, everyone at Embrace was very kind and this professional and supportive attitude really means a lot to us and our peace of mind that we have options and solutions and can always choose the best course of action in future events.

I say our coverage as I have 2 dogs and a cat enrolled with Embrace. I have always been satisfied with the service, promptness of response, adequateness of claims payments, and followup. I have used other companies for prior pets and the service at Embrace quite outshines theirs

Charlie is an amazing dog and I have had her insured since she was a puppy. She has always had a weak gastrointestinal tract and experienced many serious visits to the vet. Trupanion has always been there, very understanding and very speedy with their reimburstments. Now she is getting very stiff in her hind quarters and cannot jump up any more. Dr Prince has prescribed JD (joint diet) food and some tablets for the arthritis. This will be ongoing and I was so pleased when Trupanion accepted my claim for the food and medication. What a relief to know Trupanion was there to assist. I am a retired widow and this wonderful caring company has made it possible with helping to keep Charlie and I together a lot longer.

Friends thought I was nuts to buy pet insurance, but working in the insurance industry I knew the value of having coverage. When my two-year old cat ate an unidentified object and needed emergency abdominal surgery I was extremely relieved that I had purchased pet insurance. Especially when I was given a quote of $3000-$4000 for the surgery. My cat recovered and once I had obtained all the claim materials I submitted them to Healthy Paws. Healthy Paws contacted me immediately to let me know that they had received the documentation, and within 12 hours they had informed me that my claim was being processed. I received my check 3 days later. Healthy Paws also followed up the following week to inquire about my cat, which I thought was a nice touch. The team at Healthy Paws could not have been more responsive. Ultimately, 72% of my cat's operation was covered, after the deductible and co-insurance. It could have been so much worse. Overall, my Healthy Paws experience was fantastic. I would definitely recommend them.

Our Black Lab Mixed-Breed dog had a fatty growth on his neck that needed to be removed. After the surgery, we scanned in the documents and emailed them to Healthy Paws. We originally sent all of the claims and the medical history as a single document and this seemed to cause some problems. Once we scanned each claim as separate documents, the claims were quickly processed and paid. The company did an excellent job communicating with us and keeping us updated on the status of our claims. I would recommend this company to anyone that has a dog, especially one that is problem to health problems.
