The insurance you must have for your pet
If you have ever go to the Pet ER, you might have seem some Pet hospitals ask you to pay deposit before they give further treatment to your pet. You feel heart breaking when you see Some have to loan the money to give their pet treatments or even give up on their pet because it is too expensive.
We had a almost 16 year old dog Looka. She was diagnosed cancer on July, 2011. If not because PetBest, we cannot go further for her radiation and surgery. Thank God that we have her cancer treatment covered ( we claim 8000 in total) she is still live and kicking!
Last month, she was found by our Vet her liver ALT level elevated, all the checks and treatments is another 1300 dollars bill. We submit our claim and right away received PetBest response.
I feel safe that I have the choice to protect our dog because the insurance. I hope all the pet owners has this choice for their pets as well!

Quick payment & great coverage
Quick payment was made for my young dogs prescription medicine which is necessary for his anemia (secondary to his kidney disease). This company has always been the best --- from coverage & quick claim processing & customer service.

Easy Process and Great Return!
I just submitted my first claim since purchasing the insurance about a year ago. I printed the claim form, filled it out, dropped it to my vet to complete, and mailed it in with a copy of the vet bill. They contacted me via email when they received the claim and let me know that they were beginning the process. I received regular emails updating me and explaining what was going on. They needed more information from my vet, and let me know that they had submitted the request and that I didn't need to do anything further. Then a check showed up in the mail for 90% of the eligible services. I have 3 senior cats - 10,11, and 12...It seemed like every time I had to go to the vet with one of them, it was a $300 or $400 bill. Always necessary things, but it adds up fast with 3. I'm thankful Trupanion was willing to accept senior pets, because now I know that as they age, and more age related issues or diseases arise, I can continue to do everything in my power to keep my babies healthy and comfortable!

Sudden overwhelming rate hike
I have six rescue dogs that I have insured with Pets Best for several years. This last month, Pets Best raised my rate from $165.54 per month to $361.80 per month (an increase of $198 per month - more than double my previous payment). When I noticed the payment amount on my credit card statement, I called Pets Best immediately and told them I simply couldn't afford it. We then changed the policy so that it included a $500 deductible on each dog with a charge of $226.84 per month. It was my understanding that Pets Best would refund me the difference. The difference between the two prices was $134.96. The refund they provided was $14.37. I am unhappy in the extreme about the overwhelming and sudden rate increase. I am further really unhappy that Pets Best did not refund me the difference after I changed the plan. My recommendation is to not insure your animal with Pets Best unless you want to look forward to this kind of surprise rate increase when it is too late to insure your pets with a different insurance company. I note that the email message they sent regarding my policy renewal had a very mild statement that I might notice a rate change.

I am happy I switched to ASPCA
Mugsy is a 7 year old puggle. Starting in January 2012, he began to put on weight and was less active than he had been. I took him to the vet and had blood tests done to see if he had any medical issues. Thankfully, he was healthy, just ate alot. He is now on Slentrol and has lost 6 pounds since starting the medication. The claims were submitted through my vet and I like being able to monitor the claim. I have found ASPCA pet insurance to be better than the other insurance I had previously had for Mugsy.

Embrace is a pleasent surprise
I was very happy with the speed and ease with which I submitted and was reimbursed for my claims for my Lucy's ACL reconstruction. I was wary that some of the procedures/medications would not be covered, as insurance companies often disclose in "the fine print," but Embrace stuck to their word and I received back 100% of the costs I had expected/hoped to receive. The service team was also very accomodating in corresponding directly with the facility performing the work in order to obtain the itemized details. I hope Lucy lives out her years in good health but regardless I will continue to use Embrace for her duration.

Dental insurance
Our cat has developed gingivitis. the ASPCY insurance is not covering ANY dental issues ACCEPT: a BROKEN Tooth, which needs to be extracted. But this is an interesting caveat, because, a gingivitis procedure requires almost the same procedure as the tooth extraction (anesthesia and surgery). In our case,as we found out during the gingivitis procedure, the cat had to undergo the extraction of 3 additional teeth, which were decayed. Since the broken tooth was covered, and the anesthesia was covered, we ended up getting a fair amount of the whole procedure covered. It would be great if ASPCA insurance would cover all dental issues aside from cleaning.

Worth every penny
When we got our Great Pyrenees we knew he would be expensive, so for the first time we decided to get pet insurance. We looked at many companies and decided that Trupanion offered us the best combination of services.
Within two months we put in our first two claims when the dog ended up mysteriously lame. Had it not been for insurance we would have been on the hook for over $1,000. Instead our total out-of-pocket expense was $300, and should he need more treatment for this same issue our costs are nothing.
What's more important is that we were not afraid of trying recommended treatments and tests as the vets were confounded at first, thinking it was an orthopedic problem. As it turned out, he had a fungal and a bacterial infection in his paw and lymph nodes.
