Super fast and easy processing

My poor 2yr old cat had only been covered for a couple of weeks when she broke her leg at 2 AM. I bought HealthyPaws for her because I had checked out this review site in advance, but I was still worried about being denied. The animal hospital I took her to seemed slightly worried too as they'd never submitted a claim to HealthyPaws before. The hospital called HealthyPaws in the morning and checked to make sure everything would be covered before they started, and HealthyPaws quickly gave them an answer that it would be. HealthyPaws states it can take 7-10 days to process your first claim as they work to get all of your records in. I made sure the hospital I went to had every record I had from when I adopted the cat. In turn, HealthyPaws had everything they needed and within 24hrs my claim was processed without a single issue.

My dog has allergies

My dog has allergies and requires weekly shots by me, bi-annual visits to his dermatologist (the allergist in the dog world) as well as periodic medication that requires monthly followup visits to his regular vet. The premium may seem high but we have covered it and then some so we would be behind if we did not have the pet insurance. They let you know when they receive the claim and they deposit right into the bank or you can elect a check. Nothing is set in stone and every situation is different.

Fabulous

Jackson began coughing violently and gagging then swallowing rapidly. We took him to the emergency vet in Richmond and he sedated him to look down his throat to see if there was a blockage. There was no blockage but his right tonsil was inflamed. They xrayed him to see if he had swallowed something ,but that was all clear. The thought was that he had an allergic reaction to an unknown substance. Could have been a spot cleaner used to clean a carpet spot that afternoon. We were very lucky and he has been fine since. I submitted the claim to ASPCA insurance by mail and I think it was only a couple of weeks that I received a check that covered most of the Vet bill. We were so thrilled and pleased with the way we were treated. I just received a call from a woman with ASPCA insurance checking to see if we needed anything or if she could answer any questions re: the insurance. She was just so nice and it was like talking to a family member. Cant say enough nice things about the pet insurance we have for Jackson. Thank you to everyone.

Reassuring to be able to seek the best care

Our 1 1/2 yr. old corgi pup needed tricky oral surgery for repair of mandibular degloving after getting into a fight with our pointer. Of course the incident happened on a Saturday night and we had to seek emergency care. I had never had pet insurance before but a year ago, I felt this pup was so active and such a chewer that I should look into coverage. I compared and chose Healthy Paws because they offered the most comprehensive emergency coverage at the best price. We ended up taking our corgi to a university veterinary hospital in Philadelphia for specialty surgery and a two night stay. My claim was handled and paid so quickly and efficiently that I was shocked. The follow up emails to see how our pup was doing were very much appreciated. Can't say enough about Healthy Paws coverage and claim service.

Embrace Comes Through Again

I will be happy when the month of February is over. Brought my 8 year old goldent to the emergency dog clinic on a Sunday evening because he had diarreah for over a day and after feeding pumpkin, then holding back food, it continued. Noticed smearing of blood so we were off to the clinic. Having experienced this several years ago, his spending a weekend at the clinic and almost losing him, I wasn't going to wait. Comprehensive blood profile was done with electrolytes, complete blood counts, cPL snap test...and all with good results. Pancreas checked out fine. He was given a shot to allow stomach to settle and bolus administered (underskin hydration) and then he was allowed to go home. Since he doesn't run loose in the yard unless we are out there, since there was no one visiting to have given him something and we were towards the end of bag of food, it was diagnosed as colitis due to stress. Several factors were considered as to contribution to the stress -- being at vets week before for eye mass removal surgery, anesthesia, wearing the dreaded e-collar and even maybe a nosework class. The Embrace claim was handled quickly w/o any issues. I have recommended Embrace to many of my friends and family. They are great.

Great Company-Great People

We were watching what looked like a skin tag growing up off of my 8 yr old golden's lower left eyelid. I made an appointment with the vet when I noticed it seemed to be getting larger. Glad we did. That's when we found that he had a small mass growing below the eyelid. We made an appointment to have it removed via laser. All is now well and the area is healing. This was the second similar incident. He had something similar a couple years prior. The entire amount of the surgery was covered by my plan as was the previous one. Thank you Embrace. Great Company.
