Disaster
The ASPCA health insurer has managed to pay only 11% of my dog's health costs over the five years of my policy. 11%! For example, they denied a claim for a set of xrays and an office visit when he injured his leg (partially torn ACL) because it was more than 180 days, and then denied the cost of his pain medication because the prescription was from a "prior policy period". Seriously, this insurer finds every possible way to reduce or deny claims. Why would you pay a premium to be reimbursed for only $146 out of $1291 in claims?

Service is not hat it used to be
Claim emailed on 2/2 but not acknowledged until 2/11. Then had to wait 3 more weeks to get reimbursed. I received no email notice of benefits paid until I called and asked. You would not have gotten a 3 but the person who actually provided answers was very nice.

ASPCA Pet Insuranc has been a lifesaver
Since I am on a fixed income it has been imperative for me to be able to guarantee that my Cocker Spaniel, Pepper, has the medical care he needs. Since Pepper is eight and a half, he has developed age-related illnesses such as colitis and arthritis. Having ASPCA Pet Insurance has allowed me to provide the on-going medications Pepper needs to enjoy a good quality of life. All of my claims have been paid, according to my policy level, within a reasonable period of time.

Very easy to submit claims. No hassle
While playing with another dog, she caught her paw in a wire fence at a park and broke 3 bones in left front foot. It took a long time to heal. There were several visits to the Vet.Not very happy with the Vet but the insurance had no questions on any of our claims.

Positive Experience
I carry insurance on my pet just as I do on the rest of my family, as I consider my per part of my family. I realize it seems costly, however, I never want to have to make a life or death decision based on money. Embrace has been responsive and I have not had to agrue with them regarding coverage as with other insurance companies (not just pet) I appreciate the ease of filing and their in touch communication. I give them a 10 for doing what they say

I LOVE Trupanion!!!
I bought 3 puppies 15 months ago -- In January 2013 -- one of my puppies started walking funny, would not play, would fall if they tried to jump on hind legs. She had luxating patellas.
I saw my vet on Tuesday was referred to Specialty Hospital on Friday and had surgery Friday afternoon. I filed the claim a week later on Monday -- by Friday of the same week, the insurance company contacted me telling me how much was being paid on my claim. They were so quick and efficient. I have had pet insurance in the past with another company and they were not even close to the quality Trupanion is.
I am so pleased with this company. Word of mouth is a powerful thing -- I am telling everybody about this insurance -- and I know several people have gotten insurance based on my good experience with this company.

Excellent and hassle free
I would rate it 10 if there were exam, office call, well care, etc coverage if you choose it. I couldn't be more pleased with Trupanion, they are all they say they are. They covered 90% of a large claim for our dear dog's Cruciated Ligament surgery, quickly and efficently. The deductible per incident is another great service. Whenever I have called, the service is amazing.
