Thank God for Healthy Paws!
I have a 6-month old miniature pinscher named Lola. I knew having a dog of this breed meant extra care because of her tiny, fragile little legs. Back in January when she was 5 months I thought I better get ready for the unexpected and start looking for insurance for her. I researched for weeks online and felt that Healthy Paws was the best choice. Boy was I right! Easy to read and understand policies, amazing and affordable coverage, how could I go wrong? Well unfortunately literally a month after enrolling her, she had an accident in the backyard and fell off of a high ledge she jumped on, breaking her radius/ulna. I flipped out not knowing what was going to happen to my poor baby, taking her from an emergency vet to her regular vet, waiting to see what would happen with surgery. Healthy Paws was there for us all the way. They handled our claim in such an efficient manner. The claims staff is so quick and so caring, I got all of baby Lola's reimbursement checks back in less than 2 weeks. I was amazed, relieved and so happy. Kudos to the claim manager, Jen, for being so caring and taking time out of her busy schedule to check on the parents and the pup. =) 10 paws up for Healthy Paws!

Disaster
The ASPCA health insurer has managed to pay only 11% of my dog's health costs over the five years of my policy. 11%! For example, they denied a claim for a set of xrays and an office visit when he injured his leg (partially torn ACL) because it was more than 180 days, and then denied the cost of his pain medication because the prescription was from a "prior policy period". Seriously, this insurer finds every possible way to reduce or deny claims. Why would you pay a premium to be reimbursed for only $146 out of $1291 in claims?

Service is not hat it used to be
Claim emailed on 2/2 but not acknowledged until 2/11. Then had to wait 3 more weeks to get reimbursed. I received no email notice of benefits paid until I called and asked. You would not have gotten a 3 but the person who actually provided answers was very nice.

ASPCA Pet Insuranc has been a lifesaver
Since I am on a fixed income it has been imperative for me to be able to guarantee that my Cocker Spaniel, Pepper, has the medical care he needs. Since Pepper is eight and a half, he has developed age-related illnesses such as colitis and arthritis. Having ASPCA Pet Insurance has allowed me to provide the on-going medications Pepper needs to enjoy a good quality of life. All of my claims have been paid, according to my policy level, within a reasonable period of time.

Very easy to submit claims. No hassle
While playing with another dog, she caught her paw in a wire fence at a park and broke 3 bones in left front foot. It took a long time to heal. There were several visits to the Vet.Not very happy with the Vet but the insurance had no questions on any of our claims.

Positive Experience
I carry insurance on my pet just as I do on the rest of my family, as I consider my per part of my family. I realize it seems costly, however, I never want to have to make a life or death decision based on money. Embrace has been responsive and I have not had to agrue with them regarding coverage as with other insurance companies (not just pet) I appreciate the ease of filing and their in touch communication. I give them a 10 for doing what they say
