Great service for 2 TPLO surgeries
My golden needed TPLO (knee ligament) surgery on both of his rear legs. Total cost of the surgeries was around 10k. Healthy paws paid their share with no hassles. Filing was really easy with their phone app (just take a picture of the paid invoice and send it to them) and they had good response time, even during COVID.

Better coverage + service
Trupanion pet medical insurance offers better value and is more user friendly than the policy from Nationwide. The online and in-person reviews are quite positive and the customer service representative was very informative and helpful.

We had a very scary medical emergency on a Thursday morning resulting in our 6 month old retriever having surgery. I submitted the claim the following Monday and was deposited into our account the following Tuesday! We were kept informed of the claim status through the whole process. Thank you!

Trupanion used to be great.
Trupanion used to be great. Really fast processing, etc but the last couple of years they have been getting progressively slower. I submitted my last claim in November of 2020 and it still has not been resolved. It’s almost February of 2021

Outstanding speed!
I was overjoyed at the speed of the claims process. I wish my own health insurance was that fast. I had the payment deposited in my account within two days of the service, that is just phenomenal!
