This year was the first time I had to send in a claim that would require a refund. The first claim deducted my co-pay and reimbursed me for what was left that was covered. The second claim reimbursed me fully for everything that was covered. Both claims were processed in a very timely manner and I received my reimbursement check in a few weeks. I’m very pleased with how the entire process went. I didn’t have to worry about denying Bailey a treatment that would have been too costly for me to pay out of pocket.

You never know how glad you are to have insurance until you need it. When my four year old fur baby was diagnosed with bladder crystals, nothing but surgery would fix the issue. She is great now and Nationwide made the experience so much easier by having easy online claim filing and quick approval turnaround. And, once approved, the payment arrived in days. To anyone who thinks insurance is an unnecessary expense, just wait until you get hit with a big surgery bill. I’ve had insurance with my previous animals and will never be without it. healthypaws saved the day. having to make a choice between your pet's health and your pocket book would be a devastating decision. healthy paws covered everything that could possible be covered (they do not cover the exam, and of course there is a deductible) with no arguments nor shady fine print escapism when my pup came down with multiple pneumonia and required extensive care. their customer service is top notch (they pick right up when you call (no phone tree to pick and choose through), and checked in on my boy after all the problems to see how he was doing). the price is within range of other insurance carriers. and they donate to charity. i am so grateful to be able to be there for my pup and worry less about finances.
