I LOVE Embrace!
One of my dogs (8 pounds) was attacked by an unleashed owner-free much larger dog that charged us out of nowhere. The dog attempted to kill my dog but unfortunately didn't succeed but she did require a 5 day stay in the hospital with multiple tests and round the clock care. Embrace made the entire nightmare much easier by covering everything that I was entitled to with my policy in a very timely manner, hence allowing me to not have a large charge sitting on my credit card for an extended period of time!! Thanks Embrace for always being there for my dogs and I !

Iffy on Pet Insurance
We've had many dogs over the years, but this is our first experience with insurance. We thought to try it out when we got a new puppy. Unfortunately, the pup was a few months old by the time we signed up and, by then, had had two or three ear infections. (Common in our humidity-filled climate). Based on that, Embrace has denied several claims under the guise of dermatologic conditions. They said that even if our dog goes for a full year without another ear infection, they'll use the fact that she had ear infections in her early months as a means to deny any claims related to ear infections, dermatologic conditions and other internal infections. The customer service reps with whom I've spoken have all been quite nice, but they told me that, at this point, we won't be reimbursed basically for any claim other than orthopedic; they explained that pet insurance is NOT like health insurance. It's much more like property casualty insurance in which the insurer is more interested in denying claims than in promoting good pet health in order to avoid future claims. This seems to be less about Embrace, per se, than about the pet insurance industry overall.

This Insurance Compares to my own Health Insurance
I was skeptical about getting pet insurance but realizing how expensive vet bills were for my cat, thought it would make sense to at least try it for a year after adopting a labradoodle puppy. I chose Embrace after comparing about 5 other providers and have to say I am not disappointed. While they did turn down several claims that were not covered under my particular plan, I have submitted 4 other claims for covered illnesses and they were process and paid for in a few weeks. I’m very happy with Embrace and plan to renew this coverage next year.

Very happy with this Insureance for my two Yorkies
Reimbursement is immediate! So far, I have only had to pay my share of the cost at the Vets office after my pet has been treated.

Pet Insurance Is A Must
My dog accidently knocked his tooth out and had to get oral surgery. It was good to know that I had ASPCA to help me for unplanned pet expenses. My claim was very easy to submit and was processed very quickly

Bulldog surgery to remove bladder stones
Trupanion has the best customer service and claims processing. They took all the stress out of our veterinary bill by having the claim completed in less than a week. All questions were answered and many followups were made. No need to look anywhere else for pet insurance.

Healthy Paws is Legit, Reliable and Fast!
Very impressed! I've been paying for insurance for my 50-lb dog just for this year, and finally submitted a claim this July. I was a little scared of having wasted my money since no one I knew had ever submitted one before, so everything was heresay. But I submitted it, got an email that night that it was processing, and within 1.5 weeks (they say the 1st takes the longest) got an email detailing what they would never be able to cover, and what they could cover from this claim, which was everything!, and very reasonable. All outlined for me so I won't be confused in the future, and won't bother submitting what they can't cover. Got a check in the mail within another week. Yay! I'm very happy they have my business!
(Details: It was a surgical removal of a little lump on the ear, and she had had little bumps on other areas before, so I worried they wouldn't cover it based on similar "pre-existing" things even though there was no proof they were related. Apparently, and happily, they get specific - they won't cover if they come back in the exact same spot. But luckily I found out it was nothing, so I won't worry. They did not cover the nail trim. Duh.)

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
HAD A CLAIM THAT WAS SUBMITTED AND INSURANCE WAS IN FORCE AT THE TIME. NOW COMPANY DRAGGING THEIR FEET TO NOT PAY THE CLAIM BECAUSE I LET THE PET INSURANCE LAPSE.TOLD THEM WHY SHOULD I CONTINUE PAYING THEM WHEN THEY CANT PAY A CLAIM ALREADY IN THE SYSTEM. THEY ARE ILLEGALLY TRYING TO FORCE PEOPLE TO PAY AND THREATING THEM WITH HIGHER PREMIUMS AND THEN CALLING THE PRIOR CLAIM A PREEXISTING CONDITION WHICH WONT BE COVERED. tHEY JUST WANT TO COLLECT THE PREMIUMS AND THEM DRAG IT OUT FOR THE CONSUMER. $126.00 CLAIM. PEOPLE INSURE YOURSELF. ABOUT 2 MONTHS LATER STILL PLAYING GAMES.

Caring, helpful and quick responses!
When we got a puppy a year ago, we decided having pet insurance would be a good idea. After researching different companies, we went with Healthy Paws. Every single experience so far has been great! It's so easy to fax the claims and within a day or two, an email is sent with and explanation of benefits. They also send a more personal email sending well wishes to Newman. It's thoughtful and caring.....nice to know they're actually looking at what the claims are for and understanding there are worried puppy parents behind every claim. We would highly recommend healthy paws if you're thinking about pet insurance
