Compastionate; doesn't seem like a big company!
Outstanding service. They cover so many things and really saved me the agony of having to pay for something that I can't really afford right now. Healthy Paws is one of the best decisions I have ever made!
They seem like a small company with their unparalleled efficientcy and compassion. I hope they never change!

Peace of mind knowing it's there when I need it
We all know how expensive medical bills can be if we don't carry insurance. I've never had pet insurance before but always knew it is something every pet owner should'nt be without. After having to go to the Vet a few times and paying the enormous bill, I figured it was time to look into this. Due to the age of my Boston Terrier (12), ASPCA was the only provider that had reasonable rates. As a matter of fact, other providers wouldn't even accept her because of her age even though she has never had any serious illness or accident. However, now that she is getting up there in age, I fugure something serious will eventually happen. About 4 months after I got the insurance she had a shoulder injury, The claim process was very simple and quick. Even though I carry the higest coverage with the highest deductible, that one visit took care of that deductible. Now, if she has to be seen again this year, I have "peace of mind knowing it's there when I need it" and, 90% of any furture bill will be covered.

Comforting
Our Beagle suddenly showed signs of having trouble walking and was yelping with pain. It was quickly discovered he needed an spinal tap, an MRI and possibly surgery. It was never a question in our minds if we would move forward with these tests to help him, but hearing the dollar amounts add up was scary. Though we put our faith in knowing that when we enrolled him in Embrace Pet Insurance they would be their to help us! When it was all said and down we learned our precious animal had meningitis and a ruptured disc. Though thanks to Embrace, today he is healthy full of energy again and we are not sitting here with extreme credit card bills! It was amazing at how quickly and responsive Embrace was in helping us through this time!

Very good Pet Insurance
This is not the first pet that I have insured through embrace. My last dog was also a labrador retirever. My last dog ultimately lost hois 18 month battle with lymphoma. During that time I never had any problems with embrace. They covered everything thaat i had expected them to and they processed my claims very efficiently. The only negative comment that I have is a minor one. When I filed my last claim a few weeks ago my options were to snail mail the claim form and receipt or fax it. I faxed it. The claim went through just fine. There werent any issues. But, I always get a little uncomfortable sending a fax. I wonder if it actually got there. I wonder if it got to the correct person. They used to receive claims via email. I am not sure why they do not do so now. But that s a very minor concern. I highly reccommend Embrace Insurance

Insurance
Look, Embrace is an insurance company, a business. The number one priority of any business is to earn a profit. Embrace is no different.Embrace has excellent communication about the status of the claim. They can, however, require a great deal of paperwork on the first illness/accident claim. The process is a little slow and the reimbursement is, well, like I said: Their first priority is to turn a profit. You can read between the lines.
Do your homework. It's insurance for pets and is optional. No one is forcing you to purchase insurance for your pet.

Easy-breezy
Four months into my recovering from knee surgery it was odd that our our dog, Bailey, started limping. As he is an intuitive dog and very in tune with me, Family and friends commented that he was showing sympathetic symptoms.
Imagine our surprise when we took him to the vet and found out he too had a torn ACL and was in need of surgery. At a cost of close to $3,000 in order to have the surgery, we would have been in a position where we would of had to consider putting our dog down so that he wouldn't be in pain.
Having Trupanion put us in a position where we did not have to make that dreadful decision. My dog had his two week check-up and we received word from Trupanion that our 90% , less deductible will be sent out shortly. Every step of the way, Trupanion sent e-mails to check up on Bailey and to let me know the progress with our cases as it was my first submission.
During this trying time, Trupanion has truly been a God send. The process was easy. Because the paperwork was not an issue, our concerns were completely on Bailey.
Thank you
