Insurance

Look, Embrace is an insurance company, a business. The number one priority of any business is to earn a profit. Embrace is no different.Embrace has excellent communication about the status of the claim. They can, however, require a great deal of paperwork on the first illness/accident claim. The process is a little slow and the reimbursement is, well, like I said: Their first priority is to turn a profit. You can read between the lines. Do your homework. It's insurance for pets and is optional. No one is forcing you to purchase insurance for your pet.

Another Sastified Customer

It's sad for me when my pet insurance is better than my health insurance that pretty much says it all!

Easy-breezy

Four months into my recovering from knee surgery it was odd that our our dog, Bailey, started limping. As he is an intuitive dog and very in tune with me, Family and friends commented that he was showing sympathetic symptoms. Imagine our surprise when we took him to the vet and found out he too had a torn ACL and was in need of surgery. At a cost of close to $3,000 in order to have the surgery, we would have been in a position where we would of had to consider putting our dog down so that he wouldn't be in pain. Having Trupanion put us in a position where we did not have to make that dreadful decision. My dog had his two week check-up and we received word from Trupanion that our 90% , less deductible will be sent out shortly. Every step of the way, Trupanion sent e-mails to check up on Bailey and to let me know the progress with our cases as it was my first submission. During this trying time, Trupanion has truly been a God send. The process was easy. Because the paperwork was not an issue, our concerns were completely on Bailey. Thank you

First wellness claim a success!

I bought the wellness plan plus knowing that I was going to be visiting the Vet many times for puppy shots etc. the Wellness plan is sort of like a savings account you can pull from early. The $400 allowance will go a long way! Also, the money requested had a quick turnaround!

Incredibly fast claim payment

My first claims were for wellness check ups, and were received within a couple of weeks. Embrace always has immediately followed up on all correspondence and I received an email right after the claim payment making sure the payment was received and asking if there were any concerns. This is great business.

Customer for 3 years and very happy

I've been a Healthy Paws customer for 3 years and overall, I'm very happy. I've submitted several claims, and every time the service and payment has been ridiculously fast. I love being able to email claims to them. I feel the cost is worth it; and yes, the premiums have modestly risen over time. I'm probably running even with my claims and the total I've paid in monthly premiums. But knowing that I have some coverage if God forbid something really bad happens to my dog, it's a great feeling. One point: I'm very glad I started coverage when my dog was a puppy. The pre-existing clause would have been a negative (although every pet insurance has it). I wish the industry took a page from Obamacare and wipe out pre-existing exclusions.

THE BEST OUT THEIR

If I could pick one thing about this insurance company is that their customer service is the best! The employees actually care about your adopted "KID". Always kind and understanding. The actual owner worked many years ago with one of the so called "best, well know" insurance company, did not like what was going on and started his own. I thank the heavens above for that. I had the fore-sight to get my rescue Pets Best and the name speaks for itself. I recommend this company to Chauncy's friends parents. Vet bills can run high as we all know. Try them out, you will not regret your decision.

Pre exsisting excuse

This is my first and last time using a pet policy insurance scam. I'd rather save the money for the vet since I'm going to have to pay anyway. In May I decided to obtai a policy because I had heard from others that it was a good thing. So I searched online and decided to go with Embrace. I have a rescue dog I had gotten in August so I knew that his hear condition would fall under preexistimg, however, to my surprise that after waiting a month for a $628 claim on removal of a cancerous tumor on my dogs cheek I was denied. I had to follow up numerous times due to insufficient vet reports though this was all submitted for approval of the policy in the 14 day grace period. It seems that a growth on the foot the initial vet and my current vet have dismissed as an overgrowth due to an infection from lousy care of the previous owners could be related to and therefore a preexistimg condition of the current tumor on the side of his cheek! Really?! Embrace says the vet report does not give them enough information as to whether or not the foot growth is cancerous. Hmm don't you think if it was they would have told me we would need a test to find out if cancerous instead of put a boot on it so it does scape and get a rug burn! Embrace said I could go through their appeal process and I told them they could have called the vet if they were uncertain if the two were related due to the reports. Obviously they read and determine a vets report based on if they want to pay or not pay. The p
