Good safety net
Overall I am pleased that we have Nationwide pet insurance and the claims have been getting processed much more quickly of late. The only thing I find frustrating is how broad the definition of ‘pre-existing’ is-it can cause multiple claims to be denied due to falling under this umbrella clause even if the actual condition had never been diagnosed prior to insurance coverage

Highly recommend this Nationwide pet insurace
I did not expect Nationwide to cover all that it did when I submitted the almost $1800 bills and I am extremely greatful. Pokey once again in good health,

Insensitive and clunky
Very complicated list of coverage percentages, and there's a waiting period of 14 days which I believe to be inhumane. My dog had an emergency during that waiting period and when I called to inquire about the coverage they read me scripted responses and said they couldn't help. Then when I cancelled my plan the operator had the nerve to wish me well, as if any compassion exists in a company that literally won't help an animal in need when the owner is PAYING for coverage.

Smooth reliable process
We have had insurance since we brought our puppy home, and we are so thankful. Within the first year, we’ve had to make several visits to our vets office. The process of submitting our claims goes smoothly. ASPCA receives it right away and let’s us know. Then once they are finished, we receive another email confirming our reimbursement, which is delivered in the mail shortly afterward.

Recommendation to Other Pet Owners
My family and I are pet lovers and we want to provide the best care for them. I shopped around to compare all the difference pet insurances out there for our dogs and they are all not created equal. We reviewed the different plans that were offered and selected the one that was best for us. We choose the one that included preventive services and it pays for itself and our dogs are healthy. My employer partners with Nationwide and makes it so easier to enroll through payroll deduction. Nationwide's Customer Service is outstanding after the sale.

Great company!
Great company to work with, they seem to really care about our pets and always follow up to make sure my dog is ok if she has had a procedure. I also received a sympathy card from the company when I lost my previous pet.....you don't find many companies that care for their customers the way Healthy Paws does......I am extremely satisfied with their service!

Nationwide Pet Insurance is great.
I esp like their Wellness Plan.
Premiums are reasonable.
Payments are prompt.
Using CHASE Bank,the payment goes
into my bank account usually within 1-2 days.Much better than waiting for a check.

VERY HAPPY WITH NATIONWIDE ....SO GLAD WE HAVE PET INSURANCE ...
I have been a customer with Nationwide for many years .... claims are easy to submit ...if I have to call with a question, a friendly voice is always there.
A year ago my dog who was only between 2-3 yrs old, all of a sudden could not put weight on one of his back legs. He needed knee surgery. It was very traumatic and scary for us. Nationwide was there for us and they processed our claim quickly with no hassle .... he needed laser treatments on his knee to promote healing and again no hassle. It has been a year and Milo is doing great -running around !! Thank you Nationwide.

I am the poster child for why you should have pet insurance
I have had a roller coaster of health issues since i got her three years ago with the most serious happening this year. I would have been really in a poor financial position without the pet insurance
