STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I also wish there were no stars as an option because I would never use the company again. I received the original information from them in the mail and thought, " It's the ASPCA, so they must have a great affiliation with them insurance company." I really trusted them and signed all four of my dogs up. After years of simple shots and check-ups the time came last month when my Irish Setter was throwing up and not eating. I took her to my vet and we had to take x-rays and blood tests. I started to send in claims for her and started to notice a pattern. The company uses what they call, "Usual and Customary costs for expenses incurred during the Policy Period." They only paid out about 50%, not 80% of the claims since they said my claims were much higher than others in my area. When I asked what that meant, they said they will only pay on what they think are "reasonable" charges". in other words, they get to decide how much your claim is first, THEN, they pay out 80% of that. This is a scam. When I asked how they figure out what is the "reasonable and customary" at first they told me it was based on an average for my area, then they backtracked when I said there was only one vet in my area.
My regular vet wasn't able to figure out my dogs problem and recommended I take her to Southern Cal. Vet. Specialty Hosp. which is the only type of hospital of it's kind in Southern California. This was going to be my test to see if they would pay

The Best!!
We got our Aussie at 8 weeks and immediately signed up with Healthy Paws based on the reviews. I can tell you this is one of the best decisions we have made in going with HP. On numerous occasions, we have taken the pup in for different issues including the ER and every time time, our claim was processed and benefits paid within days. Their customer service is the best and the fact that I was speaking with a caring veterinarian was
OUTSTANDING!! I hope we have gotten past the worst with our pup and it's reassuring to know Healthy Paws will be there if needed!

BEST pet insurance out there
My experiences with Pets Best insurance have all been fantastic. Their customer service department is very friendly and helpful, and their claims processing turnaround is remarkably fast. Unfortunately, I have had to use this extensively this year and I am 110% satisfied with the speed of reimbursement and the hassle free processing. I have had no issues with costly denials as with other insurances and I will ALWAYS have my pets insured through this wonderful insurance.

No one is faster or better
Fantastic, swift turnaround of bill to payment. Really appreciate this. These people understand that when you need your reimbursements back, you need them back QUICKLY. The best. Paid thousands of dollars in my claims. Don't wait until it's too late for insurance.

Grape Intoxication - >$1000!
We returned home from a short grocery trip to find grape stems all over our kitchen floor. Jackson, our 90lb Boxer, had made his way into the trashcan and devoured about 1lb of old red grapes we had just thrown out. He was not yet showing any signs of intoxication but we knew they could be lethal from a quick google search, and call to our vet. Of course it was 8PM on Sunday evening, so off to the emergency vet we went. We were required to leave Jackson overnight while he stayed on IV fluids to flush his system - this also required a cardiologist exam and echo to re-check that his heart could handle the fluid intake (prior heart murmur present). We knew this wouldn't be a cheap visit (the echo itself is $500!), but we had peace of mind knowing we wouldn't have to base any medical decisions on our fear of the bill thanks to our Embrace plan. After induction of vomiting, activated charcoal, and 24 hours on continuous IV fluids, we were released to our regular vet for monitoring. Jackson's kidneys proved normal over the course of the next week, and he has fully recovered. Our claim with Embrace was processed very quickly, especially for the amount of the bills submitted. We have been Embrace members since Jackson was a pup, and feel it's one of the best investments we can make.

Amazing experience
Our 4 year old golden retriever was diagnosed w/ patella luxation requiring surgery to stabilize. The whole claim process was simple. Embrace answered all my questions via email in a very timely manner. The claim process was fast too. I received a check in about 20 days. They even followed up to make sure everything was okay. I was skeptical at first but not anymore. I can now say i am very impressed w/ Embrace

Fantastic!
I had seen the vet twice with my 2 yr. old dog when she started to vomit. Could've been something she ate or when I walk her people throw their leftover food on sidewalk, I've seen chicken bones too, so I'm more diligent now in focusing on her and if I see her nose going in another direction, correct her immediately and have her walk by my side. I like the way Trupanion notified me right away when the claim was received, being handled and when I would receive the check in a timely manner. Thank goodness my pup's condition has been resolved and the claim handled to my satisfaction...
