Great service!
I took my Greyhound Butter for a tooth cleaning and she required some extractions. Trupanion and my vet made submitting the required paperwork for insurance coverage easy and I rec'd the reimbursement check in less than 10 days !!

Good to Fair Response to Claim
Our hound mix, Spike, was poisoned by another dog's meds at the beginning of the weekend, when my normal vet was unavailable for the emergency. By the end of the weekend, we had a $2,500 claim, and fortunately the emergency vet was able to save him with guidance from the ASPCA poison control hotline.
After the deductible and deductions for items charged over the 'usual and customary charges' - about $200 excess, we recovered about $1,650, not counting the charge for their own poison control call (which they could not verify until I sent in the credit card bill, even though it had their own case number on it). The rest of the claim was handled quickly.
Still, it was valuable to know that most of the event was covered and made it easier for us to make the best decisions for his ongoing care. We'll certainly keep this insurance.

The highest quality customer service
My dog had a severe yeast time infection that she incurred over the course of the summer probably triggered in retrospect by allergies that were at the time unknown to us. We went to our vet numerous times, but she could not figure it out. We went to the only dermatologist for animals in Northern VA - he was great but the bills especially for treatments and meds were not low. My pet at the time was extremely ill - listless, not eating, scrating 24X7. My dog recovered on the vet's regimen and Healthy Paws was supportive at all times both finacially and by constant messages and feedback regarding her condition. I am a medical professional (nurse) and I have told everyone (my friends and hospital associates) about their concern and response.
Even more recently, my pet was diagnosed with severe allergies - that as I said probably precipiated the condition above.
I can't say enough good about "healthy paws"

Best Money Ever Spent!!!!!
I have never had pet insurance before. I do now and I am very Happy that I choose Healthy paws. My Springer Spaniel was Diagnosed with CKD and if it wasn't for the compassion & generosity of his Dr. He wouldn't have made it as long as he did he was 8 1/2. needless to say my Tibetian Terrier was devastated so I was taking him to his Dr.every day for 3 weeks to have llunch, a talk & a walk because he hated me. I got "APOLLO" an Aussie & another dog smarter than me. I Bought "HEALTHY PAWS INSURANCE" hoping I would never have to use it. Well I did & they were great!!!! My friend left #180 of concrete mix on my back porch I asked him to put it in the garage he said it would be fine,6 days later Apollo decided to open the bottom bag @ 11 p.m. so I rushed him to the emergency vet. payed the bill forgetting I bought insurance. My dog is doing great & my wallet has a few more dollars in it. Thank You to Apollo's Dr. & Healthy Paws insurance.

Excellent support from Embrace
When our Pomeranian, Sugar, had to have surgery in both her rear knees we were concerned about the cost and how prompt and easy the claim with Embrace would go. We need not have worried about Embrace response time. We received their check before we received the credit card bill with the surgery expense on it.

Healthy Paws is the BEST!
I have done the research for you. I have tested this service time and time again. Do not look any further just sign up and do it right away! I am telling every pet owner I know about this insurance company and how wonderful they are.
I have 3 dogs and they are all insured with healthy paws. I cannot rave about this company enough. One of my dogs, Hailey, had a severe emergency and ended up having to have a kidney removed. Thankfully, because of Healthy Paws, cost was not an additional stressor in this horrible situation. They covered exactly what they said they would which was amazing as the surgery and related care was extremely expensive. Not only do they stand by their word, they work faster than I have ever experienced with any other service, for people or pets! I submitted a claim on a Monday - have responses by the next day - Tuesday night and the check within a few more days. On top of this, they send follow up emails to see how my dog is recuperating.
I wish my healthcare was this good!! :)
Seriously, they are the best out there.

Pets Best has always been there for me
I have had three dogs with Pets Best. Maya passed suddenly and Pets Best paid for her creamation even. The lady on the phone cared deeply that Maya passed. The pup Mika has never had a claim. My charley has been plagued with problems from seizures to eye ulcerations. Pets Best always was there for me, Maya, Charley and Mika. Always.

Excellent easy experience
We chose to insure our youngest most active dog during his last physical when it was offered as an option with our local vet. We were told that if we chose the zero deductable option all diagnostic vet visits would be covered at 100%. 3 or 4 months later our active 3 year old golden/lab cross came up lame and wouldn't even go up the stairs. We went to the vets the next day and true to their word, Truepanion covered vet visit exam and 90% of all other costs. What was an $1100+ bill had a cost to us of ~$90+. We didn't even need to submit a claim and wait for payment. It was ll done at the vets and we wrote the easier to stomach check of ~$90 instead of the much larger check had we no insurance. Thank you Trupanion for helping out our dog and saving our family financial hardship.
