The year before we found HealthyPaws, my husband and I were in the position of not being sure we could afford to save our cat's life. He was facing the possibility of an expensive (for us) surgery and we just didn't have the money. Thankfully, he ended up not needing the surgery and made a fully recovery, but I will never forget the feeling of thinking I was going to lose my pet simply because I couldn't afford his medical expenses. I will never forget the tears in my husband's eyes as we discussed euthanizing our young cat. Soon after that, we found Healthy Paws pet insurance. We have been happy customers of Healthy Paws for three years now and do not have a single complaint. We chose Healthy Paws because they offer the most comprehensive coverage for the most reasonable monthly premium, and they always have high ratings for customer service. In the last three years, we have had to make two major claims for our young dog, both more than $1000. Having Health Paws was the difference between losing sleep over the vet bills (no longer necessary) and being able to take our dog to the vet when he needs it and say "Do what you need to do." Your staff and your services are absolutely phenomenal! I have been in the customer service business for 34 years and train people on customer service and you have the perfect combination of well trained staff members as well as a great service to offer. I have spoken or emailed at least a half a dozen staff members and not only are they knowledgable but they are pleasant, professional and very quick to respond. I don't recall all of their names but Mac and Karin are the two I dealt with the most (I just added my puppy and had several claims here at year end.) Working with your staff and company has been very enjoyable. I have told my vet on more than one occasion how superior Embrace is to the other two Pet Ins companies I have used in the past. We recently purchased Embrace insurance for the first time. We recently filed claims. The forms were simple, and the reimbursement checks arrived very quickly. It was easy. The Embrace customer service reps are always friendly and explain things well.

After doing a lot of research three years ago, I selected Trupanion to cover my then 2 year old rescue. She had been starved and abused so I purchased my first pet insurance policy to cover her. Trupanion has sliding deductibles so I could create a policy that worked best for me. I wanted a policy that would cover serious medical issues, while I took care of her routine care, so I selected a higher deductable which also gives a lower monthly premium. When you get insurance, you really hope you never have to use it. Unfortunately for my dog, she ended up in the emergency vet twice this year with bills for each incidence exceeding $2,000. The most recent incidence was mammary cancer. It was such a relief to know that I had Trupanion and could give my dog the care she needed. Trupanion was fabulous processing my claims for both incidences. They kept me advised every step of the way. They processed my claims quickly and covered all the charges submitted. I really can't say enough good about Trupanion! If you are looking for pet insurance you should really consider Trupanion.
