Leon our Pitbull injured his CCL(in humans it's the ACL. He had surgery on a Wednesday and I submitted the claim forms to Healthy Paws on Friday and by Monday had an invoice form back from them showing the amount that were covering. I am very impressed with this company and they always have a nice note back asking how Leon is doing. I would recommmend them (and have)to any pet owner.

I never had pet insurance before but I got a new puppy and thought I should get it. I got the brochure at my vet's office and decided on Embrace. Took my puppy in to get spayed. 2 weeks later, she got very sick, very lethargic with high fever. Took her in, they kept her overnight, sent her home and had 2 more episodes every 10 days. I had to take her to the emergency clinic the last time and they kept her overnight 2 days. Needless to say, the cost added up to thousands of dollars. She is currently still on the meds but I can't say enough about Embrace and they way they handled all of her claim forms. I was ready for a phone call that said I'm sorry but we can no longer cover her, she is costing us to much. I am so very happy with Embrace and will recommend it to everyone I know who has a pet. My sister is getting it now for her 2 dogs. She has the brother to my puppy. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. You are truly a life saver.

I hesitated to purchase pet insurance, but after talking with the caring representative from Trupanion I bought it for both of my puppies. I am certainly glad I did. I had a large claim within 4 months. They handled the claim so efficiently and expediently. I am sure having a vet that knows what insurance companies need helps them as well. I had another incident which Trupanion responded to so quickly. Seriously, I wish most of the companies I work with that handle paper work-billing were half as responsive, efficient, and concerned about providing customer service as Sarah and the others at Trupanion are.. I have been so impressed by their knowledge and compassion. Usually you tell 1 person when you are happy about service and tell at least 13 when dissatisfied. I want everyone to know and experience this type of caring service. I am grateful to the Vet student that cares for my "kids" for recommending this company to me. Wow! Just nice people to talk to that listen and care about animals.....

I can't even begin to explain how much I love Healthy Paws! Safari had a mystery illness that took us to the hospital a few times. His bill was well into $3000. Healthy Paws turned around the claims lightning fast, answered all of my questions quickly and even checked in on Safari more than once. To know that we didn't even have to consider money in finding the right treatment for Safari was more than comforting... it helped us focus on his recovery! If you own a pet, GET INSURANCE! I am *so* pleased with the fast turnaround & great result from my most recent claim. The claim was for my special-needs cat's prescription food, on her Wellness policy. In spite of the claim going in around the winter holidays, the claim was processed promptly and carefully. I am a longtime Embrace Pet Insurance customer - my two cats and I are all *very* satisfied and pleased with our coverage, our benefits, and with the thoughtful service from all of our Embrace insurance "Embracers". Usually we don't need to use the insurance (thank goodness) but when we do it is definitely worth having! Wellness coverage is about equal to the premium for it so we don't have that but injury/illness coverage is wonderful. 3 unexpected/emergency vet bills and $1000.00 later it's great to be reimbursed 80%! Thank you!

In late December of 2012 we noticed Rocco was loosing weight.He also was wanting to eat and drink a lot. Also large amounts of urine. January 25 we took him to see our Vet. He wss diagnosed as diabetic and severly dehydrated. Dr.said Rocco needed to be hospital ASAP to save him. By then it was well after dark and snowing heavely. The hospital was 30 miles away in Truckee. Talk about your "Dark & Stormy Night" that was it. It took two and ahalf months for us and the Dr. to get his insulin dosage right, causing many to trips to Dr. Later in the summer Rocco developed cataracts from the diabetes & in three weeks became blind. The Dr. sent us to "Eye Care for Animals" in Reno, 50 miles away. We went the next day. After exam. Rocco was found to be a good canidate for catact surgery. The operation was done a week later and after surgery Rocco immediatlly could see again. Cost for operation $4,819.81 Emvrace re-imbursed $3,855.87. That is only one example. Our totalfor 2013 was:$11,355.11, total reimbursed: $8,220.81. Our copay was $3,505.05 If it wasn't for Emrace I'm sure we would have had to some very-very tough decisios as we don't have that kind of money. We feel it was blessiong we took out Embrace pet insurance when we did. Rocco is bvery happy he can see agoin and do dog stuff in the woods like chasing squirells and seeing his dog buddies on our street.
