Nice to know the insurance is there.

We started Embrace insurance 5 months ago. We only have had one incident that would be covered (it went toward the deductable) but the process was very easy. It's comforting to know that we have it for the BIG things!

Why I chose Healthy Paws Pet Insurance

We have four Scottish Deerhounds in our household. Our oldest is Hanna who had her left hind leg amputated (due to osteosarcoma) this past November. She tolerated that procedure quite well. She has had three Carboplatin treatments, then Palladia for the next few months. Although she could not be included, the costs associated with her diagnosis and treatment caused me to see about pet insurance for the others. I evaluated ten pet insurance programs and selected Healthy Paws for its comprehensive coverage and because others ranked them at the very top. Hanna’s ordeal prompted me to enroll the other three in your insurance program. Although I certainly had no intention of "testing" that evaluation with any of our dogs, we are now so very glad to be a part of Healthy Paws because: On February 12th GCH DC Altnamara’s Cappuccino SC (aka Chino) was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in his right hind leg. His best option, at age five and a half, was amputation followed by chemotherapy. His recovery is progressing and his future looks promising. Based on our most recent experience, I offer the following observations about Healthy Paws Pet Insurance: They: • are very accessible and very polite, • are clear about what they need in order to process claims, • are very prompt in processing those claims, • do what they said they would do when we signed up – in other words “no bait and switch” , AND • Customer Service is exceptional (rated 10)! For all of their lives ou

Embrace Pet Insurance +1

I had Embrace for my geriatric pug for a few years now. The insurance generally requires little paperwork from my end and is extremely quick in handling claims. I am extremely pleased with Embrace. Recently, my dog suffered an accident which led to discovery of multiple abdominal tumors. The time to handle this particular claim took longer than usual due to an appeal process but ultimately everything was taken care of.

Having Pet Health Insurance Proving It's worth.

I bought health insurance for my new puppy after reading up on her breed (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) And learning about the serious health problems associated with the breed. I figured I would need in years to come. The Embrace literature says they cover breed-specific conditions. But I didn't have to wait long to use it. At four months old she had a run in with a nasty cactus. This got a $350 visit to an emergency hospital on New Years Eve. Then two month later she was spayed. $2oo covered as a wellness claim. Then she got an infection from the spaying operation. It was Sunday, so this also required an emergency hospital visit, another operation to find the extent of the infection and clean up her incision, and a hospital stay. $2,200. After the $5oo deductible and my 20% co-pay, I'm getting back about $2,665 so far this year. Don't think because your puppy is young and seems healthy you don't need insurance. I hope I don't have to use it again til next year, for a wellness visit. :)

Excellent Service from Healthy Paws!

I researched several insurance companies before choosing Healthy Paws and mainly chose this one because of the coverage for the price as well as the great reviews from other happy customers. I had to take advantage of the coverage only a month after getting the policy due to my dog's apparent fondness for poisonous mushrooms found in our yard. Teddy spent two days at the vet, including monitoring his condition, blood tests and replenishing his fluids needed for dehydration. Fortunately he is recovering nicely. It was such a relief to be able to authorize treatment knowing much of the cost would be covered by insurance. The claims process was simple and quick. I will definitely recommend Healthy Paws to all my friends with pets.

I recently purchased Embrace insurance for my two Newfoundlands. So far I have been very impressed by their prompt and kind customer service. It's great to know that the Newfs and I have some support and security from a business that knows all about loving dogs!

Wish MY health Insurance was as good!

I bought Trupanion insurance for my Golden Brandon when he was 1 year old, thinking that I wouldn't need it until he was elderly - was I ever wrong! He is an avid tennis ball fanatic & he managed to wear down & destroy all four of his canine teeth before the age of 3. The teeth were dead or dying at the time I took him to a doggie dentist. The options were extraction of all 4 teeth or root canals. I chose the root canals but did not want them to be filled with amalgam (no metal or mercury in my boy's mouth!), so the dentist filled them with a composite material & then took impressions for four crowns which now completely cover the teeth. His teeth look good as new now & there are no toxic compounds in his mouth.I live in New York & the cost was astronomical - $6,710! Thank God for Trupanion: they paid $5,547 and I was only out-of-pocket $ 1,163. I am so grateful not to have had the financial burden of paying for his treatment! I have a doggie daycare business & have since replaced all tennis balls with rubber chuckit balls in the hopes that this doesn't happen to any other dogs. I also recommend Trupanion to all my clients because the peace of mind is priceless! Thank you Trupanion!
