Avoid FIGO
We were covered by FIGO from July 2017 until July 2018. Prior to coverage effect we took our kitten to our vet for her first check-up and she was found healthy. We submitted the records to FIGO as required. During the first several months, they refused every claim for our 4 month old kitten asserting everything was a "pre-existing condition". By October 2017 I was fed-up, so I sent them a strongly worded letter where I explained in part:
"Every insurance contract has an unwritten, invisible, or implied term referred to as the covenant or promise of good faith and fair dealing. This is a promise imposed by law upon an insurance company to always act fairly towards its insured in handling their claims…In my estimation the apparent failure to investigate my claims leading to the unwarranted denial of said claims is gross mismanagement needling dangerously close to the appearance of bad faith insurance practices."
I then threatened to report them to our State Department of Insurance.
After this, they paid my claims and I never heard from them again. They always paid every claim. (Suspicious action in my estimation. I believe they didn't want to have someone investigating their practices.)
Now, here at the end of July (2018), it is time to renew our policy. They decided to increase our premium by 100 percent for an otherwise healthy 1 year old cat. They further did this with zero transparency. They sent an email out in June explaining "some states could potentially see a rate increase". They gave no information as to which states would see an increase or by what amount. They instructed us to log-in and see if we would be effected. We did and we were not. 3 weeks later, we still were not effected. Then today, when payment for the next year would be due, we found they increased the rate 100 percent.
We are SO disgusted by this company and advise you strongly to avoid it like the plague!

Really glad we went with Embrace pet insurance. It hasn’t a very personable and intimate feel that is rare. Also very fast
Would totally recommend this company to others. They are so nice, and I was notified the same day of one of our wellness claims that it was received and accepted. It’s really nice to know that this company cares about our dog. I did a lot of research before settling, and they seem to cover more with very competitive rates

Good experience
After several years having not made any claims (and the insurance being expensive for us), it finally paid off with Izzy's surgery. The claims were handled fairly quickly and at the 90% reimbursement as stated. Thank you, Nationwide.

Best Pet Insurance Company
I can't say enough nice things about how this company runs it's business. I have had other companies that fought me the entire way to process a claim and the ASPCA gets my claims, processes them, and sends me a notice that is has been received, is processing and/or finished. They NEVER have raised my rates except for the age of the dog each year (which makes sense) - the older usually means more problems.
I've even gotten phone calls to say how sorry they were when one of my "fur babies" has passed away. I have recommended them to all of my friends.

Customer service was great, paid my 1st claim in 3 days.
I can say, the best service I could ask for. Trupanion had no issues paying my claim, I had 2 claims in 2 days. They never question them, plus when I spoke with customer service they were more concern about my pup, than the money spent. Great company, I'm buying their stock.

Everyone at Trupanion seems to care
Everybody I talk to at Trupanion actually seems to care about our dog. They are so considerate and make the process as easy as possible which helps when I am already stressed about my pet being sick or hurt.

Nationwide Best Pet Insurance Around!
I have a one year old golden retriever who has had several health issues and Nationwide has been there for me every time. I would highly recommend pet insurance to anyone that has a pet and my first choice would of course be Nationwide as they are a 10 in my eyes. Have found them to pay fairly and on a timely basis.

The best pet insurance by far! Have had this with past pets and current. So happy we have this!
Very easy to submit claims and the turn around time for reimbursement is always within 2-3 weeks! We have Medical insurance with $250.00 deductable.
