Web site is very easy to use.

Like most pet insurance, ASPCA excludes anything that they believe the dog had before its coverage period began. This makes it difficult for people who adopt older dogs. I wish that you could file a claim directly from the app and hope they will offer this feature soon.

My 3 yr old King Shepherd had a horrible case of hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and needed a late night visit to the local emergency vet clinic (Winchester, VA, totally awesome folks). Needless to say, the visit was not cheap and I ended up with a bill for close to $1,200. I have had HealthyPaws insurance since he was a wee pup and have never had cause to use it until the other night. I am sooo thankful that I kept the coverage! HP have already reimbursed me (minus my deductible) for the promised 90% of the bill, apart from the actual office visit charge which I knew was not covered anyway. These guys rock!!! If anyone is on the fence about signing up I'd highly recommend it. Having never filed a claim before I was a little sceptical of how this would all work out but the entire process was easy from start to finish and they've come through for me in spades. Way to go HP, awesome service, thank you!!
