Reviewing part of a claim charge denied & paying it after all
I appreciate the re-review of a charge on a claim denied & then paid.

the maximum per-incident is disheartening
We've been with Pets Best Pet Insurance since 2010. We been paying $267.00 a month since Dec 2018. Now our dog's got cancer and there is a maximum per-incident in the benefit.
- Read Yelper Moo M of Pullman, WA -
I agree with Yelper Moo M. It is disheartening the maximum per-incident claim maximums compared to the other Pet Insurance on the market.
Both my sisters are with Pets Best base on my recommendation. As soon as I realized there is a "maximum per-incident" in the benefit. I call them and they both are now with a Pet Insurance company that have "UNLIMITED per-incident " in the benefit and lower monthly fees.
Hope this review will help someone else from making the same mistake I did.

Healthy Paws Has Saved Us
My poor Husky has had 3 major surgeries in 14 months. Two ACL repairs and one to repair a tiny hole in his lungs. Healthy Paws has paid all three of those claims as expected and we have no complaints. Just understand what is paid for an what is not paid for. The cost of a office visit is not covered. Food is not covered and routine vaccinations are not covered. Pre-existing conditions are not covered. There is also a yearly deductible and in our case it is $250. My dog is my family and it's worth it to pay a few bucks a month to be sure he gets the care he need if he ever needs it. To me I would rather pay for it for 15 years and never use it then not pay for it and have to make a decision one time based on money. It is well worth it.

Nationwide Pet Insurance Loves My Boxer
Nationwide Pet Insurance makes it possible for me to afford to give my Boxer the quality of life she deserves. Nationwide Pet Insurance was upfront with me about what was covered under the plan I selected; and Nationwide Pet Insurance has given me great customer service whenever I have needed it. The website is easy to navigate, and filing a claim with Nationwide Pet Insurance is relatively easy. I appreciate having Nationwide Pet Insurance.

The only reason I give it a "5" overall (I would have scored less but I'm being generous) is that my premium raised $30/month
I recommended this insurance to so many of my "pet parent" friends. I was paying $67 month for my dog who was 1+ when I first started my insurance plan. This month (my dog was 3 in May) my premium went up to $93/month! The company said it was because they have their own costs in addition to my dog being a pure breed and over 3. I find this enormous increase in premium outrageous and canceled my full coverage. I now only carry the "major medical" plan for $45/mo. I would not recommend Nationwide any longer; or at best recommend it for a young puppy/dog and then warn my friends that the premium will skyrocket with no warning when their dog turns 3.
