high cost
Each year, the insurance rate increases substantially to the point where I may not be able to afford it. I know I do not get as much back in reimbursement as the insurance cost me, but I am seriously considering just putting the payments into a savings account so if she does need more expensive procedures, I will have the money to pay it. I pay insurance for myself, which does not increase with my age as hers does, so would like to continue to insure my pet, but am not sure I can afford that.

Get Pet Insurance!
I have enjoyed Nationwide Pet insurance for 6+ years. I had both pets covered. Samson passed away September 2021. I still have coverage on King-Bailey. I love how simple it is to get refunded for prescription. No paperwork involved. I pick up King's meds from Walmart and the claim is automatically processed and the reimbursement is sent to my bank. There is a 24/7 number to call and an emergency hospital to take your pet in case of emergencies. Nationwide covered all of Samson's burial expenses. If you love your pets, get medical insurance for them. Be ready financially for their emergencies. #Loveurpetenoughtocoverthem

Kidney Disease
ASPCA covered over 85% of 2 separate claims. Really impressed with their professionalism and generosity. No drama. Just results. Extending my coverage for sure.

Failed miserably
After one year and one small claim, my premiums have gone up by an unreasonably ridiculous amount of 40% when I was led to believe that moderate increases could be expected. Nothing moderate about this!
I am livid and feel deceived.

Best Decision Pet Insurance
This has been a saving grace when out 4-year dog was suddenly diagnosed with colorectal lymphoma. Healthy paws made getting reimbursed for his diagnosis and then treatment easy and fast. Without this insurance we wouldn’t have been able to afford his treatment. The coverage offered is spectacular at a reasonable price.

Thankyou for caring!
when my Buddy got ill i was quoted by my vet the costs would be over $1000.00 I was shocked as Buddy has been my very first dog and started tearing up wondering how i would pay for the visit, his meds x-rays sedation and so on I was worried sick about until the secretary asked me if i had Pet Insurance. I said yes i have Trupanion insurance. She advised me that some costs are covered by my insurance company and she would get me a diff quote. I wasnt expecting a huge reduction in the bill I was actually shocked that Trupanion covered almost half of the invoice total. So now i was able to get Buddy the help he needed and it couldnt of happened without Trupanion being there for me.
Thankyou for Caring!!

Healthy Paws go Above & Beyond!
When researching pet insurance I knew I didn't want it for basic pet responsibility (check ups, flea and tick, vaccinations, etc. etc) In my opinion, those costs should be considered when you are thinking of getting a pet. I wanted insurance for the emergency and unexpected moments. So when my dog was considered critical for a bladder blockage and my vet sent us to the ER immediately, I knew this was going to be expensive. After a successful surgery to remove 50+ bladder stones, with 1 stuck in her urethra, she still would not urinate which had her hospital stay extended a few more days. All I kept saying was thank goodness we have Healthy Paws Insurance. The financial stress that would've been added during this time was eliminated. I love that you pick your own plan; choose your deductible, and your splits...and payment is ALWAYS SUPER QUICK! If this doesn't convince you enough to chose Healthy Paws for your pet insurance, how about them emailing me afterwards to check on Bailey!!! What insurance company does that??? I highly, highly, highly, recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance!!

I will never be without PetFirst again!
I'm so glad I purchased insurance when Mandy was a puppy. Unfortunately, at 1 1/2 she developed her first Mast Cell Tumor. Since that time, we've maxed out our $5000- insurance policy every year. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Met Life is very easy to work with-filing claims are a piece of cake, and when I've had to connect with them, the staff has been extremely accommodating! It is so well worth the price even if you never need it-it gives great piece of mind! (I've never had to file a claim for my older lab, almost 7 years of age (and hopefully never will). The price is not as expensive as you might think and well worth every penny!
