Dental Procedure Costs

My dog had dental X-Rays in January 2023. Ended up having 2 additional teeth removed (my dog never had a set of X-Rays taken and due 1 tooth falling out unexpectedly my vet recommended the X-Rays). I feel that ALL PET OWNERS SHOULD HAVE PET INSURANCE. Yes it is 1 more bill to pay each month; however, if your pet needs a surgery/procedure done that is costly, the pet insurance will help big time! The dental procedure for my dog without insurance to help me out would have been a little over $1,300.00 out of my own pocket! Who has money like that just sitting around??? With Nationwide Insurance, I pay my monthly premium (premium amount depends on the dog age and general health), after the $250 deductible is paid, Nationwide Pet will pay 90% of the claim and the owner only pays 10% of the claim. With my pet insurance through Nationwide Pet, I was able to afford to have my dog have dental X-Rays, plus have 2 bad teeth pulled out.

Awful!

I had insurance for years without a claim. Last month, my credit card on file had a new expiration date and did not go through. My policy was canceled. I was told they emailed me (I searched my email account and only an email from 2 years prior came up), and mailed me - which I did not receive, I called to get it reinstated and they won't do it. My dog is now 6 years old and they can't even create a new policy. Awful!

We understand there are times a policyholder's credit card used on the policy could be lost, compromised by fraud or that there may be a change in bank accounts, expiration date, etc. When an account goes into suspension due to the fact that we are unable to bill the card on file, we make every effort to keep policyholders up to date and informed about the status of their accounts. Multiple notices are sent via email, and a Notice of (upcoming) Cancellation is sent out via regular post as well. There is also an automatic grace period taken into account. However, at the end of the grace period, if we do not hear back from the primary account holder (prior to the cancellation effective date) the account is canceled. In order to provide our coverage with no annual or lifetime caps for all pets enrolled with us, we offer plans based on the pet’s information and claims payout in each state. Since your pet fell outside the enrollment guidelines in your state, we could not re-enroll your pet.

Awful felonious company

The hidden way that 10% is applied to the deductible effectively profiting Trupanion and making the deductible higher while also intentionally taking claims out of order so they pay less is morally, ethically wrong and this is an awful company. Do not use them.

Fabulous company

My vet suggested lemonade and I have come to love the app. I will soon be moving my home and auto insurance over as well :-)

Bella's Insurance Company

First time I have ever purchased pet insurance and I am happy with the company I have chosen, Pets Best. They have been very easy to work with and very easy to contact on the phone if I need to. Their doctors are available any time you need them as well, to ask questions or help with anything. The claims process is very easy as well and fair I think. Completely satisfied so far.

Roxy's disc rupture

Our dog had a disc rupture. One second she was chasing her ball, the next her right leg was paralyzed. The staff at Healthy Paws were very kind, answering all my questions about my policy. They covered almost all of Roxy's surgery, and yesterday said Roxy's post - surgery rehab will be covered if she needs it. I am so grateful. The premiums are very reasonable, and worth every dime. Save your family from having to make a terrible choice because of the cost of emergency care, and get Healthy Paws insurance for your pet!

This insurance cheats you!

I have called and emailed over TWENTY TIMES, to get paid on a claim they say they approved M. They no longer respond to requests for assistance, causing an official complaint to the Department of Insurance. They actually keep saying my check is “in the mail”, them claim they cancelled it and sent another. And I’m enrolled in direct deposit! Why are they MAILING checks at all? Read the reviews—- they clearly suck. Do not buy HEALTHY PAWS.

We’re sorry for your frustration regarding your claim reimbursement. Your claim was paid with a check being mailed to you the middle of July. At the beginning of August, you started the process of enrolling into direct deposit, which was completed the middle of August. In the middle of August you notified us that the previously mentioned reimbursement check was not received. A case was made for our Payments Team and at the end of August, a stop payment was placed on the check and your reimbursement was provided by direct deposit.

Seamless Excellence: A Glowing Review of Healthy Paws Pet Insurance

Our neighbor's invaluable suggestion led us to Healthy Paws as we embarked on the journey of bringing home our beloved Havanese puppy, who has now blossomed into a vibrant 2 1/2-year-old. From the outset, the experience with Healthy Paws has been nothing short of exceptional. The process of submitting claims online has been remarkably seamless, a far cry from the complexities we've encountered with other pet insurance providers in the past. The efficiency of their communication and the swiftness of reimbursement have consistently left us pleasantly surprised. In stark contrast to our prior experiences with various pet health insurance companies, which often proved to be sources of frustration, Healthy Paws has been a breath of fresh air. Their commitment to delivering prompt and hassle-free service has genuinely transformed our perspective on pet insurance. Without hesitation, we wholeheartedly endorse Healthy Paws to fellow pet enthusiasts who share the same deep affection for their furry companions and strive for nothing but the best in their care.
