We purchased NW Ins. for Maxine, our cocker spaniel when she was a puppy. I would recommend anyone considering insurance for their to check out NW! For us, NW has been a real lifesaver for our Maxine. I would also highly recommend the Major Medical policy over the cheaper one. It covers so much more. Maxine has had eye surgery, knee surgery, tooth extraction, wart removal and checkups etc. All items listed were paid by NW! You just feel so much better when your pet is ill and you know you have help in covering the cost. Having a healthy pet takes time, energy and money! You love your pet! Get NW Insurance!

Claims are responded to within hours. Trupanion takes the time to send a receipt message, as well as a final determination message. thank you Trupanion. We are so blessed that we insured.

My English bulldog had to have bilateral luxating patella surgery which costs approx. $5,000. Nationwide covered 90% of the costs!! It was our first claim therefore it took longer than usual for us to receive the claim back, which was totally understandable! I will always use nationwide pet insurance for all pets going forward!!!!

It’s tough when you adopt bulldogs, or any breed, that were rescued from puppy mills as you don’t know the health conditions you may encounter. Ellie is the first dog that I decided to look into insurance for as my others were seniors when I adopted them so I didn’t think it was an option. She seemed healthy with no obvious issues early on but we’ve had a couple scares in the 9 or so months I’ve had her. Having insurance makes the decision to give her the best care that much easier. I would never NOT do everything I can for my dogs but I’m thankful to not be maxing out my credit cards to do it now. In short, I’m glad I did my research and went with Health Paws :)

ASPCA was there with open arms and was always there to assist me with anything going on with my dog Bella. I appreciate their time and support throughout the past year helping me make my dog healthier and happier!

Filing our claim and receiving reimbursement from Trupanion was like dealing with a friend who truly cared about us and our dog. The entire process was fast, kind, conversational and humane. In todays world to deal with an insurance company that lives up to its word and clearly cares about a claim is truly refreshing.

This has been a great company to deal with and you can telll they are fur-kid friendly. STOP and look no further!!!! I work in the insurance business (so I get it) BUT if I could wave my magic wand, I will wish for this: I had 3 other kids with NPI (Baylee, Willow and Shiloh). They are all rescue kids and I got the polices for them at the same time. We were not looking, but we saw this little blind girl that no one wanted. She was blind since birth, not loved, in a cage and no forever home. We decided to take her. We signed up for NPI right way but 14 days is a long time to wait until she would be covered and that was just not in our time frame...we had to get her out of that cage. I wish that in ‘some’ instances, we can forgo the waiting period, when a life hangs in the balance and a possibility of bringing something home to your other kids. I never submitted this claim because it was 3 days before her policy took effect.
