True animal lovers

I have had Trupanion for about 4 for my dogs and I have been so happy. They truly are animal lovers and understand how much our fur babies mean to us.

Nationwide pet insurance has the lengthiest claim processing to obtain payment once I hit my deductible.

I'm not happy with Nationwide pet insurance due to the length of time it takes to obtain payment for a claim. I have been waiting payment still for a claim that I filed since February. Also, I just realized that I do not get the 90% reimbursement for the claims and when I finally look up the reason, it is not only difficult to find, but it would state that I'm missing a diagnosis, even though I've included the diagnosis on the cover of the claim form and the claim was partially processed. I even had our pet pharmacy call to provide Nationwide with a standing order, verified with Nationwide that they spoke to the pharmacy, and still no payment. The only statement I receive is that it's still being processed. This claim is from February! I even spoken to customer service regarding that claims cannot be processed without a diagnosis (which I've included in the fax forms), and still the EOB state that they still need a diagnosis to obtain the remainder of the 90% payment? It seems ever since we hit our deductible, the claim process with Nationwide has been sketchy. As a result, I am currently looking for a different pet insurer and would never recommend Nationwide pet insurance to anyone.

I like the title?

If this is your best policy, your best blows!

My claim was refused the first time because there's a truly stupid line somewhere buried in the policy that says I have to but Frontline at the vet's office or get a letter saying it's recommended. As long as I submit a valid receipt, and it's covered, why do I have to jump through extra hoops to get you to pay out some money. It was ridiculous. I don't always have time to mess with this foolishness. I have older policies on my other two cats and I don't have to do this. When I fired off an email to let you know my thoughts on this, I never got a response. That tells me you couldn't care less. And it's taking a lot longer than it used to for reimbursement. Nationwide used to be good. Not any more.

Wonderful service and outstanding compassion and care

Our Akita hurt his back leg while paying and we had to two different sets of x-rays to diagnose the problem, finding out that Teddy will probably need surgery to repair the cruciate ligament. Reimbursement for the costs was very simple. The was when I received a call from a representative at ASPCA Pet Insurance letting me know the reimbursement was authorized and was asked how Teddy was doing, checking up on him.

Couldn’t be happier!

My pup had an emergency with 3 vet visits within 24 hours. I took a photo of the receipts, uploaded to the app and had the reimbursement within a few days. Being able to focus on my dog getting better and not the bill was a huge relief. I can’t express how happy I am with HealthyPaws.
