We have Had pets our whole life. Never had pet insurance and never needed it. For some reason I felt led to buy it 3 yrs ago for our two always healthy Eskies When our 8 yr old Eskie lost half his body weight for unknown reason we took him to IMS specialist at WSU Vet Clinic for testing to learn he wasn't processing the protein he was eating, He spent 8 days in their emergency hospital clinic at $600 night just for his stay at the hospital. Because we had pet insurance we weren't forced to make an unwanted decision and were able to have the clinic provide any testing and care needed to help save our dogs life knowing 90% of our bill would be reimbursed to us, 4 months later with weekly B12 shots, a few other meds, limited ingredient novel protein diet and bi-weekly blood work to see if his abulmin level in his blood was increasing. Kodi is doing well. Pets Best has been such a blessing to us as they will continue to pay any bills related to his PLE problem for the remainder of his insurance year without any more deductibles..Their app is easy to submit a claim and a couple weeks later our reimbursement is deposited in our bank account. Their customer service agents are friendly, caring and knowledgable. I highly recommend them for your pet! My only small complaint is reimbursement can seem slow but is really only about 3+ weeks. Its comforting knowing we can provide our dogs with the care they need if any illness or accident occurs. I took her on for an ear infection and she was also found to have allergies and you denied the claim stating allergies aren’t covered and it was a preexisting condition which that was the first time I was told about allergies.

I have had best pets insurance for nearly 20 years. They have been there for all of my pets.

Worst customer service ever!!!

Last year my cat, Joey, needed an ACL repair. Major surgery, rarely in cats! MetLife covered the surgery expenses at the best, most highly recommended surgeon in the area. They also covered all his recommended treatments, including laser and physical therapy, and follow-up. No questions asked, as long as the surgeon felt it was necessary. The customer service was excellent. Yes, it wasn’t the least expensive, but the coverage was excellent! Joey is fully recovered and back to playing!

My cat has many health issues that are complex and chronic.. I have to manage them with both medication and alternative medicine, like holistic methods, i.e. chinese herbs and acupuncture. MetLife has been covering it all, and it is not hard to submit to them either, like with other companies. Super simple, and it is covered. For my cat, who has had serious issues her entire adult life, it has been a life saver to have the insurance and to be able to use all modalities of veterinary medicine. She is now 14 years old and still going strong. I switched my other cats from Embrace to MetLife too because of the ease of submission. And it was slightly cheaper.

I have never felt compelled to write a review for a service until now. And it's insurance of all things. :) We have been customers of Healthy Paws for about 7 years and they have been absolutely critical keeping our boy Duke alive and happy. Duke has had a series of unpredictable but life-threatening systemic issues, some acute and some needing ongoing treatment/medication. I have been absolutely surprised and elated at how easy and fast I was able to submit claims and get reimbursed. It's also very hard to find pet insurance with no annual max, but thankfully I selected a policy with the right company. In 2024, Duke's medical bills are pretty close to $30,000. Our decisions in very emotional and tense moments have been focused 100% on what is best for him. I don't have to worry about paying for his care and I am confident in how much reimbursement we will get. Duke is the poster child for why pet insurance is an absolute must and I highly recommend Healthy Paws.
