Rates keep raising
My Newfoundland will be 6 this week. As a puppy he had a eye defect and needed surgery. I had $700 deductable. They would not cover his bills even after I had paid the deductable. Haven't collected a cent from them yet my premiums keep going up. I regret buying pet insurance from them!

Fast Direct Deposit Claim payments
I had a few claims for my 5 year old lab in my 1st year with PetsPlusUs. I found out that the claims process worked very well when you provide all the needed information right from the beginning. I was also lucky that my Vet has a point person that provided a PDF document with all the Doctors medical notes and paid invoices in one file. I also provided an overview document and photos showing evidence of the medical issue. In 3-4 business days the money was in my account and an email with a paid claim document explaining how the claim was processed and how the deductible and co-pay amounts were factored into the claim. It’s been a great experience so far!

Rates have doubled
This was a bait and switch. At sign up in 2022 I was quoted $86 for two dogs. At my first renewal in 2023 that was raised to $136. Renewing again in 2024 and it is $185.
Our premium more than doubled in 24 months.
I can’t switch because of the dogs now has a pre existing condition, so I’m stuck with these high prices that are way above market.
Do not buy Embrace.

THE WORST! - Pets Best
Unacceptably poor customer/claims service. Extremely slow processing - close to a month. And, I'm still waiting for my direct deposit - over 1 week! Multiple phone calls - on hold for 30+ min and haphazard email response with no information of value. Will be contacting the BBB and cancelling my policy.

Smartest thing I’ve done lately!!
Met Life is wonderful. It has more than paid for itself. It’s the only pet insurance I could find that covers dental cleanings! It takes a little longer than 5-10 days for a claim to be processed, but I always know they will take care of us.

Great to start then very underhand
Our dog took major back issues and needed IVDD surgery and they were very prompt at sorting that out then on his neurologist recommendation we needed to take Denzel to rehab and I don't No bout other cities but no rehab facilities in our city have a vet on staff. Why would they when it's a SPECALIST FIELD VETS DONT DO. So they allowed us to get our baby's surgery and left him still not right. Awful. Typical insurance. Sneaky

Never approve claims
Granted I have not had many claims but, the ones I have done, have not been approved. There's always an excuse as to why they won't approve the claims. I pay $400 a month for this insurance that doesn't cover anything. I keep it in hopes that one day if really needed my fur babies will be covered. I highly doubt it though.

Pet insurance declined due to Diarrhea
We have 3 dogs which one of our new dogs was with another insurance provider… we put them all under 1 peppermint insurance… our new puppy had diarrhea under trupanian and when we switched to peppermint they said Diarrhea is a preexisting condition even though no veterinarian has given a diagnosis… the last vet visit was over 1000 dollars and they declined it based on pre existing condition of diarrhea again with no diagnosis… they did blood work and tested for Addison and fecal culture … no diagnosis… so how can peppermint say diarrhea would ever be a preexisting condition without any diagnosis… so disappointed with peppermint… if my / other dogs were not senior dogs we would leave for sure … now it would be 2 hard … I would like to know what people think that diarrhea with the many causes with no diagnosis can be a pre existing condition… or is this just a money grab

First Time Claim
After researching numerous pet insurance companies, MetLife was the one that offered the most of what I was looking for. I rescued two kitties and the claim process was simple and my reimbursement, after meeting the deductibles, was fast. I did have to call customer service regarding a question I had about my claim. I spoke to Donna, a wonderful person! She answered all my questions about my claims. I did not feel rushed and had a better understanding of my claims and policy. I would definitely recommend MetLife to my family and friends that are looking. Thank you and keep up the great work!
