The rep was professional. However I was not happy with the response stating Trupanion would not pay for a specialist to determine if my pet was to have surgery that day. It was not just an “exam”, it was like a pre op consult he determined surgery was not needed, which was great news. So when the claim was denied I was really shocked that it wasn’t covered. I have had exceptional service before and this is not what I expected. The rep said “it was just an exam”. REALLY??????

do not stand behind their policy
was told they would pay for prescription food and prebiotic. the did for a short period then denied. our vet says he will always be sick without it.

So thankful for Pets Best Health Insurance!
We are so thankful we invested in Pets Best Health Insurance for our dogs! Our dog, Huck had onset of a lethal disease last summer and had to be hospitalized at a pet ER for 4 days that included many tests and expensive medications. The peace of mind knowing that we had Pets Best health insurance for him was priceless! We were able to rest assured that we were able to give him the best treatment to save his life. We can now rest assured that we can continue his monthly expensive medication and tests to keep him healthy and happy for the rest of his life.

Pets best lives up to its name, clearly the best for keeping my pet healthy
if only human insurance was as fair and easy to use as Pets Best. We would all be healthier and happier. My pup ate a grape and was in the ICU for 3 days. Pets Best very quickly came through with reimbursement. I will never have a pet without Pets Best insurance again.

Assurance that my dog gets the best care
The vet visit for my dog was helpful and resolved my dog's problems. Knowing I had Trupanion Insurance gave me reassurance that if there were anything serious, it would be covered (I have a high deductible, which has low monthly payments and which allays my worries about expensive procedures). The vet office submitted all the paperwork for Trupanion quickly and efficiently. Its a great service!
