Trupanion very quickly serviced our claim and met all our expectations. They are everything we hoped for in a pet insurance company when we signed on.

And super customer service each and every time I have contact.I have had several small claims and one major emergency claim. Every rep I have spoken with was professional, courteous, and compassionate and best of all understanding. My beagle basset had the feared hemangiosarcoma cancer and this company came to the rescue with fast claim payment. I was so worried about the bills, but they went above and beyond in my emergency with my dog. This is the company to have your back and the follow up with them is outstanding.

We have four Scottish Deerhounds in our household. Our oldest is Hanna who had her left hind leg amputated (due to osteosarcoma) this past November. She tolerated that procedure quite well. She has had three Carboplatin treatments, then Palladia for the next few months. Although she could not be included, the costs associated with her diagnosis and treatment caused me to see about pet insurance for the others. I evaluated ten pet insurance programs and selected Healthy Paws for its comprehensive coverage and because others ranked them at the very top. Hanna’s ordeal prompted me to enroll the other three in your insurance program. Although I certainly had no intention of "testing" that evaluation with any of our dogs, we are now so very glad to be a part of Healthy Paws because: On February 12th GCH DC Altnamara’s Cappuccino SC (aka Chino) was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in his right hind leg. His best option, at age five and a half, was amputation followed by chemotherapy. His recovery is progressing and his future looks promising. My dog Bo has had Healthy Paws for around 2 years now and had to have both of his knees operated on. Healthy Paws processed his claim quickly and I was reimbursed with in a week of his surgery. He would not of been able to have his surgery if it wasn't for Healthy Paws. Their customer service is outstanding and everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful.

This was a great decision! I've been with Embrace since October of 2013 (my first ever experience with pet insurance) & just received my first wellness claim payment. It was less than 10 days from date of fax to mailbox! I've also received wonderful, prompt, professional, yet still 'real' & friendly communication from Embrace before during and after my submission - wouldn't it be great if human insurance was this painless? When our dog, Bogart, needed surgery to remove a foreign object from his intestines the price tag to make him better wasn't a concern...but it sure was comforting to know we had a pet insurance company that would reimburse us for a portion of the total expense. No hoops. No nit-picking. We submitted a simple claim form and a copy of receipt from the vet hospital and within 2 weeks we had a check that covered most of the bill. I especially loved that they took the time to send an email to follow-up on Bogart's recovery. You don't even get that attention from people insurance companies and their premiums are MUCH higher! I recommended Healthy Paws to a co-worker who enrolled her two dogs about the same time I got coverage for my two dogs. I couldn't wait to tell her (and anyone else) the wonderful outcome to our claim. I highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance!

This company takes a long time to process claims then do all they can to not pay them. Our pet was cryptorchid (testicles did not drop). The vet said they had to go in and remove them or it could cause cancer. It was a complicated surgery but they found them and my dog is fine now. Trupanion refused the claim saying it was just spay/neuter and they don't cover that. The fact that it cost much more than spay/neuter due to the complicated surgery didn't matter to them. They also turned down a claim to an emergency vet for an injured foot because it was an 'exam'. It would be hard for them to determine what was injured without the exam. I then tried to cancel and they won't even do that. They say someone will have to call me back but , you guessed it, they have not called back. Save your money and avoid this company at all cost!

I was hesitant to sign up for pet insurance. I've heard some horror stories about various companies. I did my research and decided on Healthy Paws. I got the policy for Ajax May 2013. Two weeks ago I had to rush him to the ER with a fever of 104. Tests confirmed pancreatitis. Five days later another rush to the ER with severe gastroenteritis as a result of the pancreatitis. This time he stayed overnight. After 2 ER visits and a vet visit he is finally better. During all of this I never had one problem with claims submission or payment. Healthy Paws paid my claims as soon as they were submitted! Within 24-48 hours I had a response and received confirmation that the claim had been processed and payment was on the way. I can't tell you what peace of mind having this policy has provided me. It is the best thing I could have done. I love this company!

I swear my cat gets better health care insurance than me. Embrace has a clear cut policy that is easy to understand. Their customer service is outstanding. My cat was chosen as an Embrace Pet of the Week. I have nothing but great things to say about them. Well worth the money!!!
