My only advice to potential Trupanion subscribers would be to ensure that one is aware that certain procedures are not covered and that there is $500 deductible PER CONDITION.

Lives up to their motto... Nationwide is definitely on your side!
I have a 10 month old french bulldog, named Sumo, who is my very first fur child! Naturally, I tend to over react to even the smallest of problems. I'm so glad I chose Nationwide Pet Insurance to be our carrier because I literally never have to worry about bringing Sumo in for regular check ups or even emergency visits. So far, I've NEVER had any problems with submitting my invoices. Nationwide usually has a speedy response in about a weeks time. I feel confident that Nationwide has my back, and I would highly recommend Nationwide to any pet parent!

I Recently Had Some Questions Reg...
I recently had some questions regarding a claim that I was even confused about! I spoke with Amber who I ended up having more than one conversation with and she was wonderful. She took the time to research the claim, make calls to the vet and call me back to let me know what was going on. I was very pleased with her assistance.

Prompt payment with no hidden "exclusions"
Other policies I have used consistently nit-picked every line item on the claim, asked for unnecessary information, and delayed claims for months. NOT SO WITH NATIONWIDE! My claim was paid promptly, and was consistent with the coverage promised.

Lost and Found
Recently, one unseasonably warm winter Saturday afternoon my dog decided to tour my neighborhood on her own. She dug a hole under our fence and escaped. My husband had put her in our backyard while he was busy in the house and I was out running errands.
I received a frantic call from my husband when he realized that our dog was missing. I immediately headed home to help him search. While I was en-route to the house I had received a second phone call. This time it was an agent from Nationwide informing me that someone had found our dog. Nationwide provides collar tags for covered dogs, and I always kept it on my dog, so when the person found our dog they called Nationwide and reported it.
This service was so instrumental in us getting our dog back, and the fact that it was not complicated to use, made a potentially bad situation non-stressful.
