Incredibly impressed and happy with Happy Paws

Last January, 2017, I changed the pet insurance for my 1 1/2 year old Lab to Healthy Paws. Approximately 3 months later my lab tore her ACL and required expensive TPLO surgery. Despite HP's great reviews, I was nervous about how well they would cover a new client. I printed out their forms and submitted our claim by mail. Within a few weeks I received a check for 80% of the surgery, x-rays, meds, hospitalization etc. They covered everything! I was very impressed and so happy I switched my pet's insurance to Happy Paws. Unfortunately, last month she tore the ACL on her other leg. This time I downloaded their APP and simply snapped a picture of the vet's statement and clicked send. So easy. About 2 1/2 weeks later I was informed by email that, again, everything was covered and they were paying 80% of the $3,500 for TPLO surgery, x-rays, etc. Thank you Healthy paws. My wife and i love Healthy Paws and plan to have our Lab insured with them for the rest of her life. We highly recommend this company.

Best Experience Imaginable

Our Frenchie was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia and was hospitalized for 48 hours at an Emergency Vet. She received excellent care and the bill reflected her care. We are so grateful we selected Healthy Paws Insurance when our dog was a pup! The claim process is simply take a picture of the bill. A check is sent right out! Our bill was well over $4,000. We received 90%. It’s very difficult when your dog is ill. The last thing you need is to worry about the claim process! We are very grateful our dog is doing well and that we do not need to stress about the cost! Worth the peace of mind!

when my dog needs a vet i can put his care first rather than worry about cost

ASPCA insurance has always put my dog getting better first. I had to go to an emergency clinic recently and my ASPCA insurance took the worry about the cost. ASPCA even followed up to make sure Sammy was doing OK

Little pricey

After paying a $600+ premium and a $200+ deductible I've already spent $1000 a year before any vet bills. Seems a little pricey to me. Once all deductible are met coverage is decent.

Absolutely wonderful experience & service

It has been a wonderful experience for us to have been engaged with Embrace for more than 2 years. The response time, feedback on our case(s), reimbursement process and communication methods (online, email, calls etc.) at Embrace are really high quality. Every team member works with us in a personalized manner, having knowledge of our dog's illness, monthly prescriptions etc. Our reimbursements are always made on time and the online system really helps us manage our overall experience with Embrace. One additional thing to highlight here is that we did a thorough review of all major Pet Insurance providers in the market and after a detailed analysis and comparison of all of their offerings, packages and price, we had chosen Embrace to be the best offering available in the market. We are happy to say that we made the "right decision" choosing Embrace and will do it again for other pets in the future. We have also referred Embrace to many of our friends and they are all of the same opinion about their level of satisfaction and experience. Well done Embrace Team! Without insurance we would not have our beautiful puppy

We purchased our pup from Sue's Havenese in Salmo, BC - this breeder includes a trial insurance with Pet's Plus with her pups. After 8 days of having our puppy we learned that he was very sick with a congenital liver disease (a liver shunt). Surgery was his only chance of success and with insurance from Pet's Plus (we purchased the 90/10 co-pay premium monthly package as we knew that we had one shot to help this little pup) I am very happy to say that our pup is alive and well and Pet's Plus Us reimbursed all of our claims. My only complaint would be that we sometimes had to submit claims more than once - something seemed to get lost during submission, yet when I did resubmit the receipts we were soon reimbursed. When calling Pets Plus Us I did always find the staff very helpful and compassionate.

Buyer Beware

I was told the fact that my dog had a routine fecal smear at the time of his very first puppy exam meant that "soft stool" was a preexisting condition (his results at the time were normal, and the visit was a wellness exam). He was diagnosed with a food allergy a month after the cooling off period, but a claims adjuster emailed me to tell me that his soft stool was now a preexisting condition. I was informed of an appeals process, but it left a bad taste in my mouth that even a routine wellness exam can be twisted to avoid providing coverage that I am paying for. Avoid this company.

The most compassionate and caring pet insurance out there

We have been with Embrace for 7 years when my tiny toy poodle Gracie encountered one of many issues to follow. She is now 10 years old and Embrace has continually honored claim after claim without problem and they always seem happy and helpful to make sure I am covered. One time there was a slight issue with coverage of a claim and it turned out the vet used a wrong code so it was a matter of resubmission. They cover as little or as much as you want for your pet. They are always there when you call and always helpful. They are never snarky or dismissive and they never leave you hanging. And you always get to speak to a staff person who is intelligent and informative. They are very professional and make it their business to insure that there customers and pets are well provided for. For the record our little dog has had thousands of dollars of medical expenses over the years and they have all been covered well above our monthly premiums. It is the best investment we have ever made for our pet.
