Reliable and professional
We have been with Trupanion for 9 years and dozens of claims and never had a single issue with any claim nor had to follow up to ensure a claim was paid. Trupanion is reliable, professional, and an excellent choice that has allowed us to provide medical care to our beloved dog when we otherwise would have been financially unable. I wish all companies operated on the model Trupanion uses. I have never recommended any company or product to friends or family, but I routinely do so with friends who are considering adding a member to their family.

Cost of care
I'm stunned at what the real costs for a dog and a cat are. I almost never take them to the vet. This is too much for my income to bare. Is there so way I could qualify to get a professional discount, as I am a medical professional, actually I'm a clinical laboratory scientist.

Not personable
It was like talking to a computer. Not much personality and he didn't ask about my pets. So weird, most of the time the representative is empathetic and personable. Not happy that the last two times I've called, it feels like I've been talking to a computer.

Our Little Maltese, Diva Began Vo...
Our little Maltese, DIVA began vomiting. Since we have Pets Best, there was no hesitation to wait before calling a vet, to see if her symptoms stopped. So called her vet right away and took her in. A good thing! She needed blood work up, xray and meds plus a 2 night stay. Faxed her bill in and received $377 of the $466 back. Pretty amazing when your pet has better and more affordable insurance than you do!

Always helpful
I am very happy having my 4 dogs insured, it ended up being a life saver as procedures and tests were always paid and I am glad I have them enlisted. So far everything was paid for my pekingese issues that slowly got worse over the months and without insurance the bills would have been hard to cover

It can't get any easier
Our healthy Ridgeback faced unexpected cancer surgery and our vet's staff forwarded the proposed costs to Trupanion for approval. Before we left the office the approval came back. They (Trupanion) also emailed us the breakdown of all costs and payments. We had additional costs that followed and they were handled with the same expedience.

Best decision I ever made was to get Trupanion.
Trupanion really did exceed expectations. Fast claim processing and everyone was so professional and compassionate toward my situation. Trupanion is the gold standard for pet insurance. Keep up the great work folks.
