Great service during our call and in general. We appreciate Trupanion's help in managing Bella's illness.

Asking how to get an appeal for claims. Representative gave a few options, and had to ask which is the easiest to fix the claim. My dog has one condition, Syringomyella, and Trupanion is saying some of his drugs are for other conditions. The vet has been trying to find out what is wrong with him since the 1st of July. I ended up printing out the appeal form and giving it to my vet.

Your prices are high, and it is frustrating that you use any little thing as a way to deem it a "pre-existing condition"; for example my dog Kaya was diagnosed with allergies in recent years, but because when we first adopted her, she was marked as "itchy" Trupanion takes that as an excuse to reject claims...FYI anyone with common sense would know that, anyone or animal that was living on in dirt and fleas and without baths (as she was at the rescue) would be "itchy". Your appeal process is also obnoxious and obviously your company pays them to rule in favor of "don't pay". For these reasons, I do not recommend you.

I have had 2 pets insured with Trupanion in the past. Both have since passed but I never once had to worry that I wouldn't be able to afford to do whatever was needed for either of them. You guys have been amazing! We just started a new policy (with a new puppy we’ve adopted) and I knew that we would insure him with Trupanion. Thank you!

I feel my claim was scrutinized and large assumptions were made where no diagnosis was formally made. Therefore my claim was not paid to the fullest even after both of my vets made no diagnosis to what Trupanion called a pre existing condition. It appears that Trupanion took blood work up reports to assume a diagnosis where no diagnosis was given. I feel this is unfair and does not serve the pet or the owner and leaves a bad impression for clients who make payment faithfully over many years. Very disheartening.

I have had very courteous and helpful assistance every time I have contacted Trupanion. The service you provide is phenomenal.

I must tell you that it is frustrating to be told different information from different representatives, it makes it difficult to learn where one stands re differing issues.

I haven't had to submit a claim, but may have to in near future. I'd have more to say then. For now, your customer representatives are great!
