Very fair about reviewing and paying claims.

Embrace is one of the few plans that will let purchase insurance for a older pet. They process claims quickly and fairly. The are very courteous if you need to call.

Healthy Paws Is A No Brainer

I write this review while in the midst of one of the most challenging periods in my life. My dog is seriously ill, and I am awaiting the results of a test run by a specialist. I have been doing little else besides waiting for the phone to ring and taking care of my other animals. Nonetheless I am making time to acknowledge the simply outstanding care and service I have received as a Healthy Paws client. Without both the robust coverage afforded me by their policies, and their above and beyond customer service, I can honestly say my dog might not be alive right now. I have been a client with Healthy Paws for five years now and have received many time more in medical coverage for my dogs than my deductibles. It is absolutely a no brainer for me. My Healthy Paws coverage is as critical to my dog ownership as food or shelter. I enthusiastically recommend Healthy Paws to everyone remotely interested in providing for their dog's health care.

We wouldn't trust anyone else for pet insurance

No doubt the best decision for our pet insurance. I have heard too many bad stories about other companies to trust anyone but ASPCA. They are the best. Great communication and very friendly and easy to deal with. Highly Recommended to all pet owners.

It's Worth It.

I've had Persian cats for over 20 years and have spent thousands of dollars when some became ill. After moving in 2010 and, upon the recommendation of Veterinary Diplomat, I committed my cats to his care, and chose Pet's Best for their insurance needs. Yes, I'm very glad I did. Down from four cats to two now, each has one surgery and two, cancer. After deductibles, I've been reimbursed an overall average of about 35-40%, which more than exceeds premium costs. It only takes one cat to become ill, and you're glad you've got it. The staff is courteous, customer service excellent, and reimbursement timely.

ASPCA pet insurance should handle insurance for all people as well!

These guys rock! totally easy to file claims. Almost EVERYTHING is covered. My cats have had TENS of thousands of dollars of issues--major surgeries, major falls, major ongoing health issues and ASPCA is seamless. They pay 100% of most preventative check-ups and 80% of most everything else. They have saved me at least $14,000 over the years I have been with them. My two cats are each around 13-14 years old and my other is 9. All enjoy a great life because I can afford the monthly health insurance payments as well as the other costs. It seems the ASPCA really cares about their clients, both human and furry ones. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Customer Service fine; Ridiculous underwriting

I switched from 24 pet watch to Figo only because 24 pet watch more than doubled my premium. I never had any trouble with 24 pet watch. After I switched over I requested a chart review. There are no preexisting conditions for my cats as far as I know, but I wanted to be sure. My cats are now 5.5 years old. Weeks later a vet tech from Figo replied saying that she had to check with underwriting regarding diarrhea that one of my cats had when she was 6 months old. I responded that that issue was associated with long term antibiotics use when her WBC were elevated. It has been resolved since end of 2012, and every annual physical and fecal exam at the same vet showed no further notes of diarrhea or loose stool. I even requested them to expedite it because if they still see it as a pre-existing condition I still had a little time to renew with 24PetWatch. Weeks later the vet tech wrote back underwriting deemed it a pre-existing condition, just because the vet used the word “chronic” during the 2 months when she had diarrhea, completely ignoring the subsequent 5 years free of diarrhea. 2 months out of 6-8 month old is chronic, I agree, but 2 months with a 5 year break from symptoms? Really? My vet wrote me a letter explaining my cat does not have diarrhea. He even called the vet tech I was talking to ask them what proof they need. While the vet tech showed understanding of the situation, she explained it was underwriting that had the final say. The best thing she could do was to attach the letter to my policy. So yea I suppose underwriting are just bots looking for words like ‘chronic’ or ‘latent’ or ‘dorment’ in the chart that those conditions automatically become a preexisting condition. Apparently they lack the ability to reason. 5 years in a cat is like 1/3 to 1/4 of their average life span.
