I immediately took him to my vet for xrays, bloodwork and a barium test. His liver enzymes were off the charts. 24 hours later, I was at the University of Illinois Veterinarian School where he was placed in intensive care for 7 days after having his gall bladder removed. Thank goodness for Healthy Paws Insurance, the estimate of $6,500 was no reason to pause and have to consider putting Hank down at 3yrs old. Within 2wks I had a reimbursement check in my mailbox for $4,900. I pay $175/mo to insure all 3 of my pugs, it's worth every penny.

We've absolutely loved having Nationwide Pet Insurance for our dog. He was rescued and the frist few months were a struggle figuring out stomahc issues, dental procecures, you name it. It was such reassurance to know that Nationwide would be able to help us cover the majority of the costs for every vet visit or proceudre and that we could get our dog the best care.
