Trupanion is Awesome!
I bought Trupanion for both of my German Shepherds when they were puppies (4-6 months). I only bought the catastrophic care policy to take care of knee surgery or other injuries, cancer, etc. I can afford a $1000 deductible and that kept my premiums very reasonable on a monthly basis. Sure enough, both dogs as they hit 6, needed ACL surgery. The boy dog at 185 pounds did in both knees within a year. Trupanion afforded me the opportunity to seek the best medical care without worrying about the cost. Trupanion approved the claims within a day and paid at 90% after the deductible was met on all three claims. They are fast, professional, caring and an excellent choice. I researched a lot of pet experience before selecting Trupanion and they are the best!

Cost of care
I'm stunned at what the real costs for a dog and a cat are. I almost never take them to the vet. This is too much for my income to bare. Is there so way I could qualify to get a professional discount, as I am a medical professional, actually I'm a clinical laboratory scientist.

Not personable
It was like talking to a computer. Not much personality and he didn't ask about my pets. So weird, most of the time the representative is empathetic and personable. Not happy that the last two times I've called, it feels like I've been talking to a computer.
