We had left the house for about an hour, when Rosie climbed up on the dining table and was somehow able to get hold of the Ibuprofen bottle from another shelf. It was the day I also realized that Ibuprofen bottles do not have child-proof caps. She managed to unscrew the cap and she loves eating, so she went to town with it. Thankfully we were back within the hour and immediately saw the open bottle with chewed pills strewn in her bed and rushed her to the ER. She had eaten more pills than the lethal dose for her weight! I was so scared for her but she made a full recovery thanks to the efforts of all the kind people and vets at the hospital. We also did a follow-up kidney and liver function test a week after she was discharged from hospital and those came back normal. We are so pleased to have her insured with Healthy Paws! The hospital stay cost a lot and Healthy Paws has always been prompt about claims. Rosie is back to playing fetch with her favorite squeaky ball every day. Both of our dogs have benefited from our decision to get Trupanion. Claims process is easy, fast and fair. Trupanion is consistent with their claim decisions and the cost is reasonable. I recommend it frequently and enthusiastically to others. It's hard to watch any pet owner make a decision about their pet's life or quality of life based on cost of care.

I am very disheartened by the policy "small print" and lack of availability to review my policy online like was previously offered. Due to that fact it's almost impossible to make decisions regarding my pets treatment with immediacy in mind.
