The only reason l gave an 8 is because l recently heard about A pet insurance that paid for office visits/exams. I have been very happy with the service I have received from Trupanion up to this point .

My dog ingested gum, and had to rush to emergency, so there is an exam fee. I was unhappy that it was not covered. It was an emergency.

I had received a voucher for one free month of premium at the time of my pet's wellness visit, but was told that I was not eligible as my pet was already enrolled with Trupanion. This was disappointing as the voucher did not state this exemption. I would not likely recommend Trupanion to anyone unless they were enrolling a puppy who was COMPLETELY HEALTHY. The exemption for wellness and pre-existing conditions, in addition to the annual significant increase in monthly premiums is disappointing and may well become prohibitively expensive for us. The staff is always friendly over the phone, but this does not outweigh the increased burden of cost.

Representative was very helpful but my issue was not resolved although it wasn't the representatives fault.
