Great pet insurance

I already have recommended Trupanion to two friends

Absolutely great customer care from the Trupanion team. I highly recommend them to anyone that has a furry friend! Things happen and as such is why I chose to get pet insurance right away. My German shepherd Duke got into the garbage and for a few days was violently throwing up. After the third day I decided to take him to the vet. They found out after ultrasound and radiographs that he had an intestinal blockage. That alone was going to cost me $1600. My vet sent off the paperwork to Trupanion and not even an hour later received a call from them saying that they approved Dukes diagnosis from the vet. Next step was suggested for surgery to remove it. That alone cost $6000. My vet sent out the paperwork to Trupanion and I also called Trupanion to make sure this was going to be covered. I spoke to Alicia who was very understanding of the situation and genuinely felt bad for my furry friend and said they would do everything they could as fast as they could to get him covered. Not even at the end of the phone call I Duke was covered for the surgery to the estimated limit and was told if it was going to cost more then have the vet resubmit an updated estimate and they would amend the amount. I just got my boy Duke home from the surgery and is on the road to recovery. I am so thankful to Parry Sound Animal Hospital, 404 animal hospital for the great and prompt care of Duke as well as to Trupanion for their very prompt, professional, and genuine customer care they provided me. It's nice to know that it's not a fight to get coverage from your insurance company like car insurance companies can be like. Very happy and satisfied customers for life! Thanks Trupanion. Very professional and customer friendly

I always recommend Trupanion to anyone I meet who has a pet. Most of my friends already have Trupanion Insurance for their pets and also recommend it.

I had to guide the gal on the phone, to complete my request to change the billing. At first, she gave me an automatic answer of no, but I encouraged her to go to the policy to see that my name was also on the policy. Part of it could have been a miscommunication between her and I. But I don't like wasting time and didn't want to have to call back, to reach another Rep, that would be happy to help me
