My 13 and 1/2 year old cat developed a serious bowel disorder, the treatment of which cost me over $6000. I insured him roughly 6 months before he developed this problem and paid $58 per month. Without any arguing about the bills, I was reimbursed for 90% of this cost, including medicines, which are expensive. He is now doing much better and it is such a relief to me...

Great customer service.
Great customer service. Would like to see them pay a little more on medications, although the rep says it's not determined by them.

If you love your pet, you need Trupanion Insuranc
When we decided to adopt a rescue dog we knew we wanted to buy pet ins, although didn't want the same company we had for our first dog. I did a lot of research before deciding on Trupanion. I had hoped not to need insurance for our 4 year old dog for a long time, but 6 weeks after we got her she needed TPLO surgery that was $3500. Unfortunately this little dog has developed several chronic medical conditions that having Trupanion Ins has allowed us to obtain the necessary treatment and meds without worrying about how we could handle the high costs.

Made an illness much less stressful!
We had a very sick puppy, the seizures started suddenly and the emergency vet wanted to run very expensive tests. Knowing that we had ASPCA, we went thru all the testing and he is now completely seizure free. We submitted the claims as fast as they were coming in and ASCPA processed everything quickly and accurately just exactly as the policy was written. Now we have a healthy puppy and know that we have the best insurance policy available.

Impossible to stop contract
We wrote, called, emailed and did everything we could to stop the contract because we didn't get the benefit of it. The deductible was always equal that the cat's costs. They never responded. We put a stop payment on the account and immediately they hounded us and threatened debt collectors for $70 premiums on months after we asked to stop and never used the service. It's an unethical company.

Excellent company
I couldn't be more pleased. My dog began having seizures and we opted for brain surgery to remove a tumor and Healthy Paws reimbursed us no questions asked. It is easy to submit a claim. I received the reimbursement shortly after. Their rates were the most reasonable. I am happy with the plan I selected and there are no limits. They even follow up on the health of my beautiful dog. So happy I have them during this difficult time. I am so pleased.

Horrible
Horrible. I barely got anything back. So many things were NOT covered. I would have saved so much more money if I had not had this insurance.

Still crazy after all these years
We loved Healthy Paws 6 years ago when our coverage paid for major surgery and a life-saving diagnosis for our newly rescued dog. She just came through another major surgical procedure last month. Healthy Paws was quick to review our claim and expedited payment so I could cover our credit card bill. Their reps are always professional, friendly and compassionate. One of the smartest investments we've ever made! Wish they covered humans!

Highly Recommed
Trupanion is a great pet insurance for your pet! We have had many issues with our German Shepard Sampson and his Allergies! We have coverage at the 90 percent. They pay on time and answer all your emails! If you have a puppy I definitely recommend you purchase it ! It's peace of mind too!
