The Best!

We ended up getting pet insurance after a long debate about whether it was better to simply just save money each month, or get pet insurance. After a family member spent thousands of dollars when their cat was ill, I decided to sign up. I'm so glad that we did because since that time my cat has been unwell twice, both times resulting in over $1000 in bills. She seems to be prone to a funny tummy so it is likely we will have to deal with this again. Trupanion has always quickly assessed our claim and sent reimbursement without question. They are able to get the information they need from speaking to the vet and past providers. While in Ontario it took a while for the cheque to come, but now living in Vancouver we received reimbursement in less than a week. I feel so good knowing that I have peace of mind and that I will never need to choose between my pet's comfort or life and money.

Thank you Healthy Paws!

I got my older dog about 2 years ago and have had Healthy Paws pet insurance for him since day 1. The claims process is super easy using the app, and there have never been any questions about any of the claims. My dog recently had major eye surgery, and I have been so pleased with the response time on the claim and the genuine concern for his eye and how he is doing. I recommend Healthy Paws to all of my friends with dogs!

wish all insurance companies worked this well

After I spent almost 8000.00 out of pocket on my Dachshunds back surgery I learned my lesson. I got a new Cavachon puppy and my ex told me about Pets Best and spoke very highly of them. I signed Brody up. So he is 9 mo old and blew out his patella running too fast in the house. Surgery was 2800.00. I kind half expected them to deny my claim as a congenital condition. Nope. Surgery at MedVet was 2800. They direct deposited 2200 bucks within 10 days !Awesome, no muss no fuss. I'm gonna stay w these folks a long time. Count me impressed. I'm a happy customer.

Great job!

Our young puppy Boone recently decided it was time for him to expand his diet and took advantage of freedom while out of his crate. He managed to pull down a stapler and ingested some plastic, as well as a few staples. He didn't stop with the stapler...he went on to grab a computer mouse and chewed away at that as well, eating more plastic and some small amounts of cable as well. Normally when gets a hold of things he will chew and shred and not swallow. This time we needed to be certain about what he actually did ingest. After a few x-rays and sedation we were able to see some small foreign bodies in his stomach cavity. He failed to vomit following induction attempts. We were comfortable that the staples were pretty well coated with food products, and that they would move on to pass through stool. We took him home with us that night and continued to monitor him (and his stool) over the next day. He recovered quite well from the sedation within a few hours and continued to pass stool without difficulty. We did indeed notice multiple amounts of small particles in the stool but couldn't be certain about the passage of the staples. We returned, as planned, 2 days later for repeat x-rays. Fortunately, we were able to see that the staples and other foreign bodies had made their way from his stomach into his colon and would be exiting soon. All has been well since! Boone spends more time in his crate when no one is home with him now, safer for everyone this way. If we did not have pet insurance with Trupanion, this would have been a very expensive lesson indeed!

Best Decision EVER!!

Our little dog leaped out of our arms, landed on the floor and broke BOTH front legs. Emergency room, x-rays, surgery and recovery have amounted to $8,000 so far. ASPCA insurance after reviewing the claim and Vet. reports paid 90% of the cost. The insurance is great, the claim process is easy. The only paperwork that is needed is the check that arrives after a couple of weeks. Couldn’t be happier with the company or the process - highly recommend. Thank you, ASPCA, for making this horrible accident a bit less tragic.

I tell anyone who will listen how great Embrace is!

My mini schnauzer, Stella, has been insured with Embrace since 2009 after tipping over a trash can and eating chunks of fat that had been trimmed from a pot roast. This triggered a pancreatitis episode. I realized how important pet insurance is when I saw the pet emergency hospital bill. I had to apply for Care Credit to pay for her treatment and wondered what I would do in future emergency situations. While researching different pet insurers, I came across the Embrace website and was impressed by the positive reviews. I was also very impressed with how straightforward Embrace is with what's covered and the fact they reimburse claims based on the actual invoice. I took a chance, obtained the quote, and enrolled in the coverage. It's been 8 years, and I am so happy with Embrace! The ease of claim processing, timely reimbursements, and excellent customer service have far surpassed my expectations of what an insurance company would provide. This is why I tell anyone who will listen how great Embrace is, and I’ll be an Embracer for life!
