It is very easy to file a claim and I got a response within days. I wish my personal health insurance was as easy

Although I like Trupanion I've yet to receive a claim check in the mail as it stated it was sent in the email I received for initial invoices. As bills are starting to add up there is no way to check the status of that check or where it is at.

My experience with Nationwide pet insurance is by far the worst experience ever of dealing with a business whose practices seem plain corrupt/ shady. From rude and unsympathetic customer service reps to learning about how their adjustors are spending time finding ways to deny claims and finally to know how slow the entire process is. I plan to cancel my policy soon if a legitimate claim of mine gets denied after I've provided every possible way to fight the false label of pre-existing condition that my dog never had. Definitely shady business here. - so buyer beware.

I can not rate ASPCA highly enough. Their customer service team is excellent, the few times I have called with questions they were so pleasant and helpful. Claims are so easy to submit and payments are always prompt. They even covered hydrotherapy which has been so helpful in my dog's recovery. 5 stars all around.
