I'm sad that I can't add physical therapy to my dogs plan due to a "pre-existing condition"
I'm sad that I can't add physical therapy to my dogs plan now that she has a "pre-existing condition"; how could I have known she'd get hip dysplasia at 3 years old? I wish that some physical therapies were covered under her plan as she is in a lot of pain and I can't afford to help her.

Our goldendoodle Rocky is now 7 years old.
Our goldendoodle Rocky is now 7 years old. A week ago he had spinal surgery to deal with his ongoing Intervertebral Disk Disease. Thanks to our coverage this was not the $7k+ trauma for us it would have been without Trupanion. Their claims service has been painless from the start and their payments and claim process straightforward and easy. Any anytime I have dealt with their customer service team they have been pleasant and helpful. Id recommend Trupanion without hesitation (and have) to friends and family.

Awesome insurance
ASPCA pet insurance is really wonderful. I am posting this because I previously posted a terrible review. The insurance took 3 months to reimburse me due to 'insufficient information from vet'. At the time I was broke and it seemed like the reimbursement would not come around. However, it eventually did and I am so grateful! My cat recovered from diabetic ketoacidosis and is now under control. It is very likely that now that he has a pre-existing condition, he will not qualify for further reimbursement. However, I have kept paying $30 in order to 'pass on' some cash to someone else. I highly recommend aspca - they raise a ton of money for all kinds of animals. I'm not sure if the insurance is related to aspca but I also recommend looking into saving one of the animals from the shelters. They are GREAT pets and having a pet makes you happier.

caring
Love the fact they care customers.
My boy passed few months after the renewal.
They offered partial refund of renewal fee, also paid all cancer treatment.
I'll choose PetsBest for all my pets.

Multiple Pets Insured
All of my pets (4 cats, 1 dog) have been insured with Pets Best since ownership began. The company has always been responsive and it's a pleasure to get a real person in real time when calling. No robots or multiple recorded options. The company responds quickly and deposits any reimbursements into my checking account in a timely fashion.
My only areas of dissatisfaction, which I'm sure could be said of any other company:
1 - Dental procedures for conditions such as gingivitis are not covered. Since gum and tooth diseases can lead to multiple health issues, i.e., heart, kidney, etc., this seems to be a case of false economy. It is far less expensive to cover mouth issues than to cover organ diseases.
2-As pets get older, the premiums increase exponentially, sometimes leading pet owners to have to choose between risking the odds of maintaining the health of a senior pet vs. paying very sizable premiums.
I would recommend that everyone begin insuring pets as soon as they are rescued or adopted, since anything that occurs before insurance kicks in would be considered pre-existing. Once a pet is insured and an illness occurs, Pets Best will not exclude that condition.
