The 6 week trial insurance is a scam
I adopted a rescue kitten in October 2017. Sadly he was sick and within days I had to take him to my veterinarian. As he was supposedly covered by a 6 week trial insurance policy with Pets + Us, I submitted the veterinary bill of $165 to the company for reimbursement. I just keep getting a copy of a stock letter (one in November, one in December and one in January) from the company saying they are unable to process my request as the are missing "all medical history" for the kitten. He was 10 weeks old and a rescue when I adopted him! The company has everything I have.

We felt so good with Healthy Paws claim coverage and customer service that we added our other cat!
All of a sudden, our cat Kanobi fell sick. We had to take him to the hospital and he had to stay there for two nights. Healthy Paws covered the claims as per the coverage and provided excellent customer service. We are very happy with their professionalism and customer care. They even sent a very caring email asking how Kanobi was doing.
Since then we have added our other cat! I highly recommend Healthy Paws!!

Very Mix Reviews
At one time I had at least 6 dogs ensured with these people. They started off great but after a couple of years things changed. I will give them credit for making fast payments...when they pay. After they started making some questionable decisions I began moving my kids to another company but I had three with preexisting conditions and couldn't move them. I guess it depends on who reviews your claim as to what they will and will not pay. Unless you get pre-approval for a procedure, don't count on reimbursement. I had one child who just couldn't catch a break, medically speaking, and they did pay for a lot of her treatments. But when it came to my kid with cancer they would have paid for major surgery and chemo/radiation (or at least I think they would have paid for that) which would probably would have killed my kid but they wouldn't pay for a treatment that cost considerably less and was non invasive. They said it was experimental. Unfortunately they weren't able to comprehend the information the doctor had provided which explained that the treatment has been used for quite awhile. Bottom line, my four legged kid, who should have died in Aug of 2016 is still alive and didn't have any of the "acceptable" treatments. Just do your research before you pick a company.

Wish they covered Humans
We use Healthy Paws to insure our pets from puppy to passing. Their plans are affordable and are invaluable when something goes wrong. We lost our doberman at age 4 to kidney failure and they covered the intensive care so we could just love her through it. We wish they sold human insurance because our dogs have better health care than we do.

Never a problem, terrific coverage.
I never have to call and complain. Coverage is terrific. Rates could be a little bit lower. But no complaints about claim coverage as with 2 other companies in the past.

Review of Healthy Paws
Healthy Paws is an excellent company--they are very prompt in processing claims, even one for around three thousand dollars following my one cat's treatment for a urinary block and surgery for kidney stones. They are friendly on the phone and seem genuinely interested in the pet's welfare.

What a waste of money!
I submitted a claim for $226, knowing I had a $100 deductible. They also deducted $75 for the emergency exam & $10.25 for coinsurance & sent me a check for $41. I'm cancelling now, as I can easily put back $50 a month for vet expenses, instead of paying AKC Pet Insurance +$65 a month!
